Where did you first hear about Muse?
Please tell biggrin

I learned about them from a friend on Deviant Art, from this picture in fact. I found the song on Yahoo's stupid Music site (whatever it's called) and I fell in love with it <3
But for the longest time I thought it was a chick singing sweatdrop

Ooooh Kerrang and MTV2...not exactly the most interesting of stories; but originally; I didn't really care for them. But I didn't actually bother listening to the songs all the way through rofl then I was flicking around and TIRO was on like 3 times in a row; and It actually started to get imprinted in my brain rofl and Matt was so adorable (but that had nothing to do with me becoming a fan 3nodding that happened afterwards rofl ) but really; Muse are a band that you can't not adore 3nodding

But serious; you thought that Matt was a girl eek poor guy...

I heard "Time Is Running Out" on the radio and fell in love with it. I got Absolution a bit later, and listening to it a ton. Slowly falling in love with every song. I just got Black Holes & Revelations a few days ago, and need to get their first album soon!

I heard about 'Time is Running Out' from a fan forum (for Cillian Murphy. smile ), so I went and downloaded it and fell in love with what I heard. So I downloaded 4 more random Muse songs (I based it on which titles sounded the coolest at the moment. xD). They were Sunburn, Overdue, Hyper Music and Hysteria.
I got out to the CD store as fast as I could and bought Showbiz and Absolution (they didn't have Orgin of Symmetry. sad ). And I just kinda got more addicted from there.

I haven't responded to this topic? Bah.
I was really bored in the summer and at the time I kind of lost interest in all the music that I had been listening to so I went on Amazon.com and looked though tons of music and found Showbiz. Then I bought it and developed an infatuation of Matt. The end.

I can't really remember. I first saw them in a magazine (rock mag from Europe) and then some one told me about them so I started listening to them.

I first heard about Muse from my boyfriend, loved 'em ever since!

I'm seeing them in November! Can't wait, they are amazing live! I suggest if you haven't been fortunate enough to have seen them play a gig yet... get fortunate! Beg your parents, never spend again until you have enough to buy a ticket, do whatever it takes, just make sure you go!

The first song I ever heard of Muse was Plug in Baby, and every single that followed was so good that I rushed to the store to buy oos. And Hullabaloo. And Absolution... smile

I first saw them on MTV, many years ago. New born came on and I switched the channel thinking: "Bah. Muse."

Of course, I had never listened to them before, and I wasn't going to start. I was like that back then.

Then, I watched the brits. Saw a mysterious band play an immense, bass-heavey, explosive song with possibly the greatest riffs I've ever heard.

Didn't know who they were, didn't know what the song was called, I just loved it.

surprised

So, as I usually do, I went on a little exploration. Visited every site I could relevant to the Brits, went to every CD shop looking for the Brit CD, couldn't find the ********. Of course, It would have helped if i'd known who I was looking for. But, I couldn't find 'em.

Which was a shame, that was the most awesome band I'd ever seen, and I didn't even know who they were.

Went on for a few months, completely forgetting them. Until after school one day, in the IT room, I was playing a LAN match on the school comps. Some of the yr11's behind me started playing various tracks all from the same band, and it was good, didn't think much of it though.

Then, by some crazy luck, the brits song came on.

surprised

I asked them who the band was, and what song they were playing.

"Oh, it's Muse, and the song is Hysteria, they played it at the Brits. Do you like it?"

That's my story. Ever since then I've been a complete addict. The first Muse album I bought was Absolution, and it will remain to be my favourite for a long while yet.

There's a story and a half for you.
