Maria sat up and yawned. She looked around the room and felt a bit light-headed. She got out of her bed and brushed her hair. She went to her window, looked out of it, and saw Alex bent over. Her stomach gave a slight lurch and she collapsed on the floor.

Alex put on his docter's coat and headed out the door. Today, Tuesday, was his day to pick herbs. He walked down the road towards the beach, where he sometimes could find green herbs. To his suprise, there was a green herb right across the street from Theodore's house. He bent down to examine it. It looked full-grown, so he picked it and put it in his coat pocket. He looked at Theodore's house and saw Maria by her window. She looked pale. Alex jumped back as he saw her fall from sight. He ran to the door of the Mayor's house and went inside. luckily, the door was unlocked. He went into Maria's room and found her on the ground, her hair neatly brushed and in pink pajamas. He picked her up and put her back in bed. He took out the themometer that he always brought with him, along with the ear-thingy and some medicine, and carefully checked her tempature. One hundred and two degrees. He sat down in a chair across the room, looking flustered.
