Pertinent Information

Listed below is going to be information that is somewhat important in terms of information going forward in Future Trial.

Here is a link to Trial's old encyclopedia. Not all the information is accurate, but it serves as a nice basis for things (X)

Several things have changed in regards to the world that Trial originally found itself in, notably that is the interactions of nations and the nations themselves. Below is information that pertains to each country, UNITA, and information about Gardens.

Important note: years are recorded using ASW (After Sorceress War) and this refers to the first Sorceress war, against Adel. That means the start of events in the original Trial occured during 17 ASW, and the events of F.T. Start at 39 ASW.

UNITA: This is a coalition of all of the countries and city states in the Trial world founded and ran by Nona. It prides itself on being a place where all people are welcome from their respective countries. UNITA is actually a gathering of city states that formed after the end of the second sorceress war. This includes New Fisherman's Horizon, and is attempting to annex Timber. It is a democracy run by a president (Currently Nona), and an elected Senate that are formed from the different city states of UNITA. UNITA also serves as a center state for The Great Concert. Nebulous City is often mobile, but has claimed a location in northern Centra as a it's 'home' area.

----- The Great Concert: The Great Concert is held every four years. It is a combination of olympic games, inter-country general assembly, and more. The Great Concert has become more of a large festival world wide, and stands as a unifying aspect of the world and culture that all celebrate. Organized by UNITA and Nona, it remains a icon of world peace.

Esthar: Esthar is a democracy with an elected group of representatives and a president. The president has a group of close advisor that help them in making decisions for the greater good of the country. The president is given their power from the elected group of representatives known as the Council. Esthar is notably the most technologically advanced society in the world.

Even after the Sorceress War, Esthar found it's well established and to some well justified seclusion to still be for the best. Their technology is limited in use and availability around the world, internal politics keeping their goods from hitting a wide market. In terms of military, Esthar has retained significant manpower and mechanized units from after the war, making them the political powerhouse. They sell out dated defensive machines for villages to defend themselves from monsters.

-----Esthar Garden: This Garden is the most unique Garden among them all in that it is actually a space station. The only way to this station is via transport at the Esthar Space Transit station. This Garden is known to be the foremost institute for technology and studying of mechanical process in the Trial world. It has some of the finest staff in engineering. While not notably know for training it's students to fight monsters, among the staff they have Maris who acts as a combat instructor for those at the Garden.

Balamb: A small city state located on Balamb Island. This country thrives mostly on tourism to it's warm beaches. The city has small farm plots dotting the island but mostly it relies on trade for it's survival in terms of food and goods. Due to it's small size, Balamb is run by a council of elected officials that decide it's laws and how they are enforced. Balamb has no real standing military and relies on the nearby Garden to provide protection.

-----Balamb Garden: Balamb Garden is located near the mountains on the island. Balamb Garden is known as a great choice for a variety of studies. Their most renown field of study is in Guardian Forces and junctions with individuals, though they are also known to offer exceptional courses in business and management due to their close proximity to the city of Balamb.

Trabia: Trabia lacks any major cities or notable places to visit in it's country due to it being a frozen wasteland most times out of the year. There are resorts in the mountain regions of Trabia that serve as ski resorts and Trabia has recently started to try to bring tourism into the country during the winter seasons to see the snow and ice that blankets it's forests and land. Trabia has no centralized government and instead cities form their own laws and govern themselves mostly. Trabia holds resentment over the emergency help given to Centra, and what they would call under-whelming support during it's own troubles from their allies.

-----Trabia Garden: Trabia Garden, due to it's much harsher environment, is known to excel in training students to fight monsters. The country is in constant need of assistance in dealing with growing monster populations and the Garden offers the best training available in combat to deal with monsters. This Garden is known to be very harsh on students due to the environment and as such generally only the most combat capable go to Trabia. The Garden is headed by Koyuki Rieko.

Galbadia: One of the largest countries, Galbadia has a government very similar to Esthar. The president has less power in Galbadia and it is more run by the council. Galbadia has lost several territories since the second sorceress war and has recently gotten back into the world as a power.

After the Sorceress War they had lost a great amount of political leverage and military force. With rebellions springing up to free themselves from Galbadian rule, the country was fractured. With time they have regained control ofnsome areas such as Timber, others like Dollet remain a hotbed of political maneuvering and deniable operations. Galbadia's centralized intelligence agency is known as the BIE and is lead by the current acting president of Galbadia, Marcus.

-----Galbadia Garden: The original Galbadian Garden was broken down as part of the effort of demilitarizing Galbadia after the Second Sorceress War. This was flown into Centra to help establish Centra City. Since then the Galbadian's have managed to build a second Garden. In an effort of appealing to the greater world, it's primary focus had flora, floral and marine studies, and begun a databank on general monster information that any could subscribe too while it's students and professors discovered more about the wild life if the world.

At least, until three years ago. Galbadia mostly stopped taking outside students, with so many Gardens it wasn't too strange, but inevitably a whistleblower got it out that Galbadia's Garden had been retrofitted to a military academy. For those in the Intelligence community, there were already long held suspicions from the architecture the true purpose of the new Garden. And to the concern of many, the Galbadian SeeD had begun to show they were just as effective at combating monsters as even Trabia graduates. This militarization of it's Garden, and seeming pipeline into the Galbadian military put many on edge.

-----Winhill Garden: While technically located in Galbadia territory, Winhill Garden shares it's name with the nearby city of Winhill. This open air Garden is notable for it's focus on furthering the education of it's students rather than training them to fight. Of all the Garden's, Winhill prides itself on the education it provides to it's students in a variety of fields. Those who have sorcery often find it a good choice of Garden to attend due to the staff containing a sorceress among their ranks. Winhill is known to have one of the highest regarded staffs in the world for field experience in the world and what occurred during the second sorceress war. The Garden has Lisanna Everett as headmaster and Kalay Laytos as Assistant Headmaster. Generally the nearby town of Winhill is not protected by the army of Galbadia due to it's close proximity to the Garden. Winhill Garden uses it's proximity to the city to help train it's students in the art of monster hunting to protect the city for those who are interested. There is a great deal of respect from the people of Winhill to the Garden and relations between the two are notably high.

Centra: Centra is a country that is still attempting to recover from the Lunar Cry from many years ago before the events of Trial. Following the promise of his grandfather, Sou-ho sent supplies and aid to get the Centra people back on their feet and they formed a major city called Centra City in the southern island. Centra's government prides itself on being lead by the strongest, with each tribe in the country having a voice in their government. Centra is still in the process of forming their goverment and laws, and internal strife makes the process seem unlikely to complete anytime soon. On the political stage Centra is barely a foot note, and resentment lingers in the air from the lack of support the people had received from other nations until So-ho's intervention.

General Information Regarding Gardens

Gardens are less affiliated with their countries as they were in years past and no longer serve solely as training mercenaries. Some Gardens have had a large change over the years as they now serve more as schools that train their students both in how to fight monsters and also in how to work in the everyday world in a variety of fields. Certain Gardens do not act as the military force in their respective countries and are entirely disconnected from the government. Governments are not meant intervene in the affairs of other Gardens. It is well known that SeeD have largely turned to Monster Hunting and Bodyguard roles in recent years. Many are hired to help protect cities or as escorts for those traveling from place to place with fear of monster attacks.

Below are rough SeeD rank Descriptions and Monster Descriptions
Rank 3 Operatives are SeeD who are either freshly graduated or inexperienced enough with field work, and are the lowest rank of Operatives.

Rank 2 Operatives are a step up from Rank 2, and are deemed sufficiently experienced to take part in missions on their own without needing a squad.

Rank 1 are the highest ranked of the numbered Operatives, and are often the ones who are put in charge of overseeing a squad of other operatives. This rank is also typically the standard required to become an instructor.

First Class The best of the best and alone can turn many a battle. Most of the Trial cast are this level or above.

Monsters
D-Class Monster: The lowest rank of monster that exists, any lower classification of monster being so negligible that they are almost considered below the pay grade of SeeD. Typically at a level that armed civilians can handle. Rank 3 SeeD can safely handle a small group of these.
C-Class Monster: (Level at which Rank 3 SeeD can handle)
B-Class Monster: (Level at which Rank 2 SeeD can handle)
A-Class Monster: (Level at which Rank 1 SeeD can handle)
S-Class Monster: One of the most powerful monsters, (Level at which First-Class SeeD can handle.)
EX-Class monster: Very few of these classes of monsters exist, and very often they are unique, one of a kind monsters that are not only ancient but powerful as well. Even a squad of First-Class SeeD needing to fight with full force in order to take one of these down.

Mana

Mana is mostly important to Sorcerer/ess's in terms of keeping track of mana character wise, but it is something that exists in the Trial World and as such I deserves some details on what exactly it is and how exactly it interacts with the world.

Mana exists in all monsters, plant life, and the world around Humans. It is actually the elements that make up the world around humans, from fire, to earth, to lightning, to water and so forth. Humans do not actually have any means for producing mana on their own which is why they cannot perform magic, the instead use a form of para-magic which is mana that has already been condensed into an elemental form to be issued as a specific type of spell. These form the spells people are familiar with, such as fire, blizzard, thunder, etc. Monsters produce mana in themselves, and as such when humans 'draw' spells from them, the monster loses some of it's mana.

Sorcerer/ess's are the only types of humans that produce mana on their own. It is produced inside their body and they can use it to freely perform mana. The production rate on this mana is generally very similiar across the board by some are better at storing mana than others and can hold more because of this. Generally, a full rest of 8 hours, such as by sleeping, is enough to restore all the mana a sorcerer/ess can hold. When a sorcerer/ess's wings are visible this often means that they're performing magic that requires a large expenditure of mana, which is actually released through their wings into the spell that they're trying to form. This is the significance of the wings all sorcerer/ess's bear, and due to the nature of the wings being a conduit for their power, their wings take on a form that matches the bearer's personality and magic expertise.

It is deserving of note that Humans can in fact use mana, but they lack the ability to produce it in their bodies. The only time this phenomena shows itself is when a human's life is fading and the body enters a state to fight for survival, drawing in mana from the outside world in a panic. This mana is then run through the human's body and transferred into a form they can use, most often called a Limit Break. It is deserving of note that Limit Breaks are technically forms of sorcery, and furthermore limit breaks for Sorcerer/ess's function different from normal humans. For them, the status of limit break merely means that they no longer have mana costs because their body is rapidely pulling mana from the outside world and expelling it. The body cannot store this foreign mana, but it can be used to deliver the sorcery. During Limit breaks, a sorcerer/ess's wings often take on unusual elemental properties by their alignment and sorcery type.

Crystal Magic

A is a newly formed branch of magic was created in Esthar as a means for people without junctions to use magic. This form of magic was invented when a scientist in Esthar took elementally drawn spells from monsters and imbued the stone with the magic. Using electrical impulses from a triggering mechanism, it was possible to fire the spells charged in the gem off as if they were stocked spells through a person utilizing their magic aptitude even without junctions. This was called Crystal Magic.

Crystal magic works on a few simple principles. The first being that specific gem types are capable of storing specific types of mana concentrations (spells). These spells can be invoked by the owner of the device to which it has been synced to. Generally, the device is wired to respond to a specific keyword from the voice of the owner, releasing one charge. This means if the user is silenced, they cannot use crystal magic. Like para-magic, these spells still pass through the users body and as such they are limited by their magic casting speed for the number of charges they can invoke. The devices themselves determine the caliber of the spells they hold, but in generally they follow the same pattern as normal spells (fire, fira, firaga). Crystal magic cannot contain -ja level spells in any form due to the potency of the spells.

The devices that run crystal magic are generally accessories of some sort on a character. It is worth of note that a character can only run one crystal magic device at a time due to conflicting frequencies of the crystals. These do not hold limitless charges and in fact are very expensive to purchase. As such only low quality version are in wide circulation and use. Crystal magic does require a user to have a certain magic (5+) to make use of, in the same manner that para magic does. To purchase crystal magic you must have a Crystalarian License from Esthar, and Esthar attempts to crack down heavily on any re-sellers or 3rd party markets.

Stocks for crystal magic are personalized by size of gem and quality of gem. The generic, cheapest versions, hold around 5 charges of a spell, general SeeD quality has 10 charges, and the largest known quality and size held 50 charges but the gem was so large that it was impractical to carry around.

Crystal magic MUST be elemental, it cannot be status affecting spells.

Note: To clear up possible confusion. The charges listed for crystal magic are assumed to be taken as mana charges. Generally speaking each rank can only do a certain level. Generic can fire -re level spells, SeeD up to -ara and the largest military grade get up to -aga type spells.

Dramatis Personae

This is where the location and activities of the old Trial cast members will be displayed, so we all know where they were and what they were up to during the time lapse to Future Trial.

Star Players

These were the main characters of the first Trial.

Riyel Vicaria
He died in the final battle against Ultimecia, and sadly the effects of Singularity rest heavy upon his memory. While his actions were not erased, most evidence of his life has been erased from any memory. With endeavor he is remembered, but his memory itself remains a trial.

Xaris Zeigmus
Now better known as Kira Mayumi, Xaris sits comfortably as the CEO of Hugin Industries, a vehicle manufacturer based in Dollet. Having seen her fair share, she has shed any ties to Gardens, SeeD or the BIE that so heavily encumbered her past.

Kiyari Vane

Caize Ovelen
With his credentials, but hidden past, Caize had trouble finding any sort of life beyond working within the Garden system. And having spent most of the Second Sorceress War at home defending Balamb, it was natural he stayed there once all was said and done. He's spent much of the years after the SSW working as an instructor, or doing Field work for Balamb.

Koyuki Reiko
After the war finished, Koyuki returned to Trabia to rebuild and reestablish Trabia Garden. Due to a drastic rise in monster population in Trabia, the garden has become crucial for defending the region. Once the garden got reestablished, Koyuki began to recruit and train new SeeD operatives to deal with the rising monster population. Due to the harsh life in Trabia at this moment, the training regiments of Trabia are considered harsh and the prerequisites to becoming a SeeD in Trabia are brutal. Those who are SeeD operatives are effectively trained and specialize in hunting monsters throughout Trabia.

As a leader, Koyuki is serious, strict, and regimental. Due to the destruction of Trabia Garden, losing Riyel, and many comrades, Koyuki has become self-reliant and distant to other nations. When it comes to any sort of diplomacy or alliances, Koyuki has not outright stated any official alliance, but any person who was an ally to Koyuki during the SSW can assume she would come to the aid of them in a crisis, but she refuses any assistance or support from other countries, stating the important of being self sufficient since she views Trabia Garden's destruction as them being ill prepared, lack of training discipline, and poor leadership.

Kalay Laytos
Kalay has mostly achieved his dream of being able to take it easy. A frontline combatant in the Second Sorceress War, a father and a husband, he has added one more thing to his resume. Teacher. Kalay is one of the longest standing Instructors at Winhill Garden, with tenure even, letting him be a bit more lazy than usual.

Callia Durentis
With the end of the war, so much of the world tried to turn back to normal. Callia herself did this. She returned to the farm girl life, herding Sheeps and Goats. She eventually settled down, and now can be found not too far from Centra City. She makes a comfortable income selling goods to Centra City.

Ezio Danae Durentis
He went to Centra City and become a radio personality. He occasionally stops by to see his sister.

Eamonn Ignatius

Ellale Laytos

Lia

Varitas Durentis
Varitas was always one for the mission. When the war ended, the mission was over, and he found himself lost for the most part. His fight was over, but he had not been part of the group to bring down Ultimecia, or stop the Lunar Cry. Or anything. He had failed at the mission over and over again, and he swore he would never do so again. For years he vanished into the cold wastes of Trabia.

Later he was found by SeeD, and eventually hired by the Trabia Garden as a survivor consultant. Some tests are still given to make it out to his home, where he may teach one how to craft field repairs and weapons from monsters in the field. With his new mission to teach the next generation to protect themselves from monsters, he seemed to have found some peace.

Yin Azuren
After the war, Yin returned to Winhill for a time. She continued her education in the rehabilitated Garden system, and eventually became a psychiatrist. With the trauma she suffered from Galbadia and the loss of her family, she had also began a charity for war orphans, which was eventually picked up and rolled into Salem's collection of charities. Yin now lives comfortably in Winhill as a psychiatrist, but she still holds heavy anti-Galbadian interest.

Nona Winchester
After the Second Sorceress War, and the foundation of UNITA, Nona Winchester has gone to what lengths she can to attempt and build bridges with the beleaguered people of Trabia and Centra. While The Great Concert of her design has improved political communication by leaps and bounds, old wounds continue to impede her ideals of a better world. Further the outlawing of Gardens, and by extension most hiring of SeeDs has left her somewhat estranged from old allies who kept with the Gardens.

Against her wishes, Galbadia and UNITA on the world stage has been a consistent source of political friction. While Nona looks towards a collaborative future with reconciliation and rebuilding, Galbadia sees only the greatness of the past and recapturing it. Tensions have further heightened when Dollet left Galbadia and joined UNITA, and Timber seems to be following close in tow.

Sophia Vinginshy

Momo: The Moomba
Deadly cute, even more annoying. Momo the Moomba is largely a life coach now, with his own aerobic exercise T.V. show, and another where he plays a comedic super hero in a small town. He now lives in Timber, where most of his filming takes place.

Taeria Limmari

Saida

Isaac Anundr
Isaac's condition has greatly deteriorated from his over-exposure to PULSE energy. His once mighty vitality and strength has wasted away leaving him physically a shell of himself, dependent on Esthar technology to function with the meager independence he has left.

Lloyd Nipal

Aeliana Maris
Currently the combat instructor at the Esthar Space Garden, Maris has mostly been estranged from her earth-bound children. After the war, and with Galbadia's forced downsizing of military assets, Maris was considered one of them amongst many others. It was agreed upon she would be ex-patriated to Esthar, and be allowed to live mostly free within it's borders. Her allotment to the Garden has given her access to state of the art weapons, and plenty of students to keep her mind occupied. With three more years, she'll be allowed to leave Esthar for good.

Lisanna Everett
Lisanna's interest in education has led her to be the Headmaster of Winhill Garden. A rewarding and peaceful existence that has been by all rights earned from the Trials of the Second Sorceress War. Her day to day for many years was occupied by reforms to the Garden systems, in addition to the education curriculum she labored for years to improve. She leads the Garden with a motherly air, and a keen wisdom earned through experience.

Salem Everett
Some might scoff at the philanthropic efforts done by the Sorcerer, but after the war he turned his attentions to the world at large. With his wealth both inherited and invested, he turned to several projects. The first was renewing Edea's orphanage, but moved closer to Winhill, and with more staff added to make sure the children were adequately raised. The second was to retire from the B.I.E. and instead raise Winhill to be it's own province instead of the laissez-faire situation it had with Galbadia. Third was to provide scholarships to children with magical ability, partially a chance for him to have a extra layer of parsing potentially unidenfied Sorcerer(ess)s. Fourth, and this has caused him to be accused of funding terrorism, re-organizing and funding a group simply called the White SeeD. After that, he typically attends political functions to swoon people into voting for what he wants, which has included heavy pushes for new civil rights for Sorcery-types. But most of this he still runs from his mansion in Winhill, where he can be found most of the time.

Ivaria Kaizen

Sou-Ho Nebulous
Mr. Nebulous, though thought dead, seemed to survive the inescapable. His future turned towards benevolence when he took years of his life, and most of what he had to his name to Centra to help them rebuild. Though he has restrained from a political position, he runs many charity organizations now, and with generous donations from old friends and interested parties, has become somewhat wealthy himself. Though this is mainly used to keep his many groups funded.

Supporting Cast

This is the deets on those individuals who played minor parts in Trial.

Kyrrdis Laine
Having retired from being the primary combat instructor at Winhill Garden, he has become the primary coach for the sports that were introduced as part of the Garden Rehabilitation effort. Though his skills as a combatant have dulled with age and lack of use, his happiness has soared as the world has approached a much better place for this next generation.

Yuka Spaeckmaester
Once simply the no name sister of the Announcer, she has since become a star radiohost in Timber.

Announcer Spaeckmaester
After a tragic case of gaining a throat cancer, he has since become his sister's primary manager, using his experience and connections to help her career to new heights.

Takahiro Limmari
He has become a biological researcher, turning all of his insecurities into a drive about the nature of life itself. While he has a unhealthy focus on twin subjects, Esthar regulations keep him from going out of control.

Lein Nipal
Mr. Nipal was driven into effective retirement after the Second Sorceress War. Work for mercenaries had spread thin, although it did not cause Lein to suffer much. He enjoyed having more free time to be a grandfather, and his finances would allow him to live comfortably for some time.

Marcus Breowitz
A hated figure across most of the world, and a war hero in others, during the war Marcus was the head of the B.I.E.. Every operation they did and every life they took was under his direction, and their ruthless efficacy was known and hated around the world. While to many that may have gotten him the title of war crime enthusiast, in his home country he was celebrated for his efforts.

Since then he was voted in as President of Galbadia. Despite everything his brilliance was crucial in certain efforts of the rebuilding efforts, and the demilitarization project would not have gone so smoothly were it not for his presence. Those same virtues however are also what cause so much concern for Galbadia's sudden military build up in the last three years.

Mathias Keller
Maris was not the only ace operative for the B.I.E. during the war, but unlike the former Keller was able to keep his operations on the downlow. She was a hammer, he was the scalpel. His hardline service continued after the war, now being the current Directer of the B.I.E.. Rumors suggest he still performs some field operations, but to what end no one knows.

Colleagues

These are NPCs who live and work alongside the cast of Future Trial.

Marem Everett-Maris
The youngest of the Everett-Maris children, Marem is the baby of the family, and has been treated as such. Where Rhiannon inherited their father's sorcery, and Raeka their mother's militant training, Marem was left with wondering what to do. Not particularly strong, and disagreeable with violence and fighting, Marem had no hopes to join Raeka in their mother's Spartan Training from Hell. Marem also failed to inherit Salem's sorcery trait, and showed little aptitude for it (and interest). So it was to the uncle that Marem turned; the foster uncle/father that took care of Maris during their time in Galbadia when both had been stranded with no way home and their only chance of survival being to disguise themselves and join the enemy.

What had first started out simply as a way of seeing what Marem could do quickly turned into an interest, a fascination, and then an obsession. Watching mechanical creations, pieced together by cogs and wires, come to life amazed Marem. Each piece of technology became an incredibly complex puzzle, and soon the young child could not get enough of running around the father's mansion, dismantling and reassembling every and anything to see what parts did what. Soon, just knowing how things worked wasn't enough. Soon Marem wished to know how things could be improved. After all, there must always be a better way, right?

Marem was eventually able to gain admission to one of Esthar's most prestigious schools for budding technicians. There Marem is an Estharian Technician-in-Training, and often where one will find the young mechanic.

Rhiannon Everett-Maris
The daughter of Salem Everett and Aeliana Maris, Rhiannon is the oldest child of the three siblings, and is also the most independent of the bunch. With her mother's personality and her father's sorcery, Rhiannon is a child who is destined to go far.

Rhiannon spends a lot of her time on the road, traveling. Due to her disdain for technology she doesn't carry any form of communications device, so contacting her is impossible and entirely dependent upon her whim. The best chance of meeting or contacting her is by locating and waiting at Salem's Mansion, which is one of the only places she returns to with any frequency (every few weeks or months) in order to check up on and spend time with her father.

Samuel R. Thompson Momoson The World's Greatest Pugilist
I came from over there, you see! And now i'm here! I have a dad, and I think he's Momo now, I don't know if Moomba reincarnate into Moomba, so he should still be Momo! Anyways, now that i'm here, I met a lot of fun people along the way! Like Saida, and Tonton, and Kalen, and Nona, and even Lloyd! I punched that one! I also hang out with my bestie Kalen a lot! We even went to the circus once! I, uh... I forgot what I was doing.

Robin Anundr
I spent three weeks at a summer job with Momo, even going as far as to learn how to change a diaper and speak very basic Moombaese...? Myeer! Of course that was while Mr. Quamar and Daddy were in the hospital. Then I learned a Moomba based grapple! I was so proud, the moment I got back home I just HAD to show it to Kalen. He was so impressed, he could only squeal and wheeze for the next hour! Of course, this was around the time that the new bundle of joy, (and tears, crying, dirty diapers.) entered our lives!

Luckily, I was old enough to be a SeeD! At least by old school standards, and since their new change of rules and age weren't retroactive, I was able to get myself into a new Garden since I could still technically request a transfer from Winhill, which Mrs. Everett was very happy to do! She said something about Kalay being too tired for someone keeping up with my hammer was just gonna be trouble or something. Anyways, I transferred too the new Esthar place as a 'experienced candidate', and took advantage of the first few months of technical kinking out to LEARN EVERYTHING. (Insert maniacal cackle, which I may have got from Saida. Or should I call her Mom now? I don't know.)

Turns out they think i'm a mechanical wiz, which, after making dad a new arm to administer his medical treatment more thoroughly, mixing in some of that Everett dude's crystal research to get a mix of some cure, esuna treated medicants in... Maybe I'm smarter then I think, I guess i'll give my hammer another tweak after i'm done writing this, it hits well, but just doesn't quite have the impact or rocket efficiency I need. Still need to beat twenty feet in one rocket burst.

Oh journal! I'm back again. I can't believe you've been outside the space station and still intact! Anyways, i'm a SeeD now, congrats right? We both made it! Though, I think that rift in time and space did something weird, monsters seem to be... givin' fairly more sass then they used to. Not that it's bad, it seems exterior threats have helped people from having those silly things... Uhm. (It seems something was written, erased, then written over) Arguments!!! Anywho, I caught a Ifrit. He was in space trying to eat a thruster or something, I dunno, but I have my own GF again. Mr. Wolfy hadn't wanted to go into space, especially now I had a hammer and could defend myself for some reason. I dunno, I'll have to catch up with him next time I go see the family. Scare Kalen again by putting him in a dark box, letting it float in the water and tell him we're in space. He'll freak.

Hehehe. He freaked. Did you know Sorcerer's can cook oddly well? Had a bitchin' time with the Everetts and Laytos' and the others this last shore leave. Still, between all my SeeD wages and living on their dime, maybe I should invest in a home or something. See about vacation days, dad hasn't been looking so hot, he tries to work out but his muscles just seem to deteriorate at a accelerated rate and what steroids he gets just keep him from being totally invalid. Oh, right, remind me to feed Ifrit a steak. He seemed super curious about one tasted like that wasn't entirely roasted.

The Consequences of Trial

Though the heroes were ultimately successful in stopping the Sorceress Ultimecia, there are somethings that can not be helped. One of these things were temporal tears. They have many names, rifts, portals, star gates, they're where time has become destabilized and causes difficulties in the immediate area.

It may be monsters drawn out of time, land scapes changed, resources renewed or exhausted. So far anti-magic tech has been able to restrain and for some neutralized these tears. These sites remain under control of UNITA, with Esthar support.

The Lunar Cry

The Lunar Cry had a long lasting effect on the world. With monsters being renewed, the challenges of keeping population centers safe multiplied. Worse, many of the typically average ability monsters from the Lunar Cry showed unusual strength.
