Four long tables fill the large dining hall. Each table is for the seperate house. A long table sits at the front of the hall for teachers. Breakfests, Lunchs, and Dinners are served here. Also, a good place for talking, studying, and doing anything really.
The decorations: A few knights, and paintings line the walls. The colours of the house hang above each table.

Sira sat at the ravenclaw table, which she had to her self, and spread some marmalade over a piece of toast.
"I wonder if my parents-"
A large, snowy owl swooped down on her and dropped a thick look letter on her lap.
"Thanks Laksha!" she said to her family owl. "Here have a bit of toast" she murmured. "You desereve a break...now let me read my parents letter"
She opened it up to see that her mum and dad had both writen some. She recognized her mom's flowing, wavy, nice, handwriting,
and her fathers's big scribble.
Dear Sira,
I am so happy to here that you got accepted into ravenclaw! It was my house after all!
Yes....your house. My house was gryfindor....oh well, I alawys thought that you were equally smart and kind hearted....
Ah yes....I remember. We were from two different houses....but nothing stopped us from falling in love.
Enough about us....it sounds like you got a good dorm eh? How's Raj?
Yes, how is he taking the new diet? Oh, and have you made any new friends? Oh look at the time! I'm afraid we must leave....

"Laksha, stick around for about and hour....go up to the owlery and rest. I'll reply to my parents letter" Laksha gave an understanding hoot and took off for the owlery. Without her presence, the room seemed even more eerie....so she set off for the school grounds.

She grabbed her fork and knife lightly, cutting into the succulent fish. Taking petite bites and chewing politely she looked around. Spotting a Ravenclaw first year she smiled. Nodding her head her direction she introduced herself, "Hello then, names Jadessa..most people call me Jade. 7th year Ravenclaw." SHe held out her hand.

Well you must have good memory, or the fact that I have jade statues on my trunk sticks to your memory..." She smiled and popped a chip in her mouth. "Are you excited about your first term?"

Ana walked into the Great Hall. Oh! There was Sira! And she was with that seventh year...what was her name? Oh, Jade! "Hi guys!" she exclaimed happily. Looking down at her plate, she said, "Chicken soup and a butterbeer please!" And then, to Jade and Sira, she said, "So, what are you doing?"

JetskiBabe Ana walked into the Great Hall. Oh! There was Sira! And she was with that seventh year...what was her name? Oh, Jade! "Hi guys!" she exclaimed happily. Looking down at her plate, she said, "Chicken soup and a butterbeer please!" And then, to Jade and Sira, she said, "So, what are you doing?" "Just chatting." Jade said kindly. "I'm sorry...you are?" She asked, taking a gulp of ice tea. She then turned from the girl to her plate. "Chunky monkey ice cream please....." Turning back to the girls she said, "I love muggle ice cream..."

"Oh, I'm Ana. I'm in your dorm, but you saw me in the library once. But muggle ice cream is SO good! I really like Phish Food. It's this American flavor. These people called Ben & Jerry make it. I think they make Chunky Monkey too," Ana said excitedly. "Yes, a bowl of Phish Food please." A bowl of fish food appeared. "No! Phish Food ice cream!" A bowl of vanilla ice cream mixed with fish food appeared. "P-H-I-S-H Food ice cream!!!" The two bowls with fish food in them disapeared, and there was a bowl of Phish Food ice cream. "Finally! So, Sira! Do you like muggle ice cream?"

Naomi entered the great hall crossly. She moved swiftly across the rows of tables and to the front of the hall, where the former potions master, Severus Snape's seat was. Taking her seat she looked at her plate.
A baggy eyed, cranky looking potions mistress stared back at her. "A waffle and chai tea." She barked rather loudly. Putting a hand lightly over her mouth she resigned to being silent and staring anxiously at her plate. When the food finally appeared, steaming hot, she dug in.

Jade gave the potions teacher a quizzical look and then turned her attention back to Anna. "Supposedly, to my knowledge, the deatheaters were all....well in rude terms slaughtered. The final battle....between ministry and death eaters was bloody so I've heard from the few survivor's stories. The care of magical creatures Proffessor was there....." Jade rambled. "Well to put it simply, that Proffessor hasn't got a good attitude....she'll be a repeat of Snape....as for what happened....a short summary would be after the down fall of Voldemort, in which she had helped with....all deatheaters were ported to the wizengamot....her and that girl...she used to run with...Khandi or something....were tried...towards the end all hell broke lose....I just naturally assumed she was killed in the crossfire." Jade stopped speaking and gathered her bookbag. Slinging it across her back she stood. "I'm sorry to leave, but its getting quite stuffy in here. Care to walk around the grounds?" Jade asked.

Naomi forked large bites of waffle into her mouth with one hand, while the other dolloped syrup and butter onto the remaining piece. Looking up, she caught a strange glance from a Ravenclaw student. She glared at the girl and then finished up her meal. Wiping at he mouth, she charmed the plate clean and got up to leave.
She gave a vexing look to any student who turned there head. "Typical!" She muttered underneath her breath. 'Little Lavenders and Padmils running everywhere.' Her mind spat.
Walking into the corridors, she decided to explore the castle once more.
