The Utopian Sparing Club
Brought to you by Princess Seraphina Dawoud

President/Founder: Seraphina Dawoud
Vice-President
Trainers:
Members:

Just because the war has ended doesn't mean Utopian students will forget everything they learned. Many of the royals were built and bred for war, and those who aren't should learn to defend themselves sooner or later.
`Seraphina started this club to let off some steam, finding punching someone in the face very cathartic. The room has five sparring mats, the largest in the center, with some test dummies to the side. A water station and a small first aid area are off to the side.

Club bylaws:
a) Talk all the smack you want on the mat, but off the mat, you will have to deal with Seraphina.
b) Don't badmouth beginners looking to learn, unless you want to fight Seraphina
c) Weapons are allowed as long as both parties agree, but this is too crowded of space for powers
d) Characters (with the consent of the handler) can be injured but not killed in the club.
e) In the event of a fight (without a clear winner in mind), 1D20 will be rolled. Modifiers will be added (we are going with classic D&D rules, and Books will be your dm if an impartial judge is needed. I can even help with modifiers if you want.)

Member code: delete anything your character won't use.
You do not have to fill this out to join the club. It is there only for sanctioned matches without a clear winner.

Pulling Punches

Sparing Gym

xxx

Seraphina looked around the gym as her handy work. While she had only been at the school for roughly a month, Seraphina had discovered the one thing she had to bring—a fight ring for sanctioned school matches and training. Phina loved being in the gym and setting fires outside to help with her anxiety. After all, Seraphina had earned her nickname as the Oleander, deadly but beautiful to those around her. This was a time that allowed her to be calm and with herself.

So, after speaking with a few other students, she realized that many of the royals had not been prepared for the war to end as drastically as it did. She had not been prepared to be pulled off the front lines in the manner that she had been, so training had been one of her coping mechanisms.

It took almost no convincing on her part to get the school to lend her some space, saying it was teaching her classmates how to fight. While that was a small consolation prize, it was not why she started the club.

Her hands shook, wondering if anyone would join her. The school at least needed a headcount of students to grant the club a small amount of funds for supplies, granted Seraphina could have bought them herself if she desired. She preferred not to ask her parents for money, nor was she fond of tapping into her own. So, she set out a table with glittery pens and the basic form for clubs.

Her hands were on her hips as she tried to stop pacing, nerves getting to her for the first time in months. She couldn't touch people without causing harm, so most of her body was covered in fabric. However, she found fighting to be one of the only ways she could meet her basic physical touch needs. Nobody would question a few accidental burns if they were in the ring with her.

Phina finally decided to calm herself; grabbing one of her knives, she flipped it into the holster on her thigh before moving through a few stretches. They were basic, designed to help soldiers on the front lines stay loose, and they had become almost a daily ritual for her. She cleared her mind of all thoughts and worries before pushing down her emotions and putting on the cool mask the royal often wore.

People would come. She wasn't the only one that needed this time.

                                                        MIRABELLA ☀ ROUSSEAU
                                                        DUCHESS OF ALORE

                                                        Hm.

Scarlet eyes scanned around the room expectantly as Mirabella entered the gymnasium. Having remained mostly to herself recently, it was one of her chosen servants, Sorcha, who had alerted her to the forming of some sort of club for those wishing for additional combat opportunities. As her body had been consistently seizing-free for a few days now, she decided to show up for the chance to test herself against something that wasn’t a training dummy or ghosts via Ponyboy.

Unfortunately, it didn’t seem like there were too many others of similar interest. Not yet, anyway. Her gaze settled on the singular person in the room besides herself, a woman of a similar build stretching by what looked to be a sign-up desk. Given how barebones the rest of the room was, it was clear to the duchess of light that either the organizer or their ******** up of a headmistress was being rather frugal these days. And until I’m proven otherwise, it just feels right to blame Marie. Approaching her peer with her arms crossed casually, she stopped right at the desk and picked up a pen. ”I take it that you’re one who arranged all this, yes?” asked Mirabella with an inquisitive stare. Turning her attention to the forms on the table, the duchess of light took one and read through its content diligently.

”As you’re dressed for the occasion, I imagine you’re pretty serious about this. Good.”

Filling out the required sections, she turned the paper her classmate’s way and slid it towards her. Glancing her way again, Mirabella noted what appeared to be a dagger of standard issue placed around her thigh. She couldn’t exactly place the where per se, but that was of little consequence to her. All that mattered to Mirabella was that the woman before her had earned such a weapon. For if that was the case, Mirabella might have a satisfying fight on her hands. A hopeful smirk formed on her face. Meeting the brunette’s amber gaze, she offered the woman her hand.

”Mirabella Rousseau, at your service. I look forward to testing your limits; think you can offer the same?”

                                                        Location: Gym
                                                        Company: Seraphina
                                                        Wearing: Outfit (minus the spear)
