Concept: Tree Walkers are a group of leopards who reside in the trees of the jungle. Rather than hunting ground prey and bringing it to the trees, this group has adapted to live almost entirely in the trees of the jungle. They have a connection to trees unseen anywhere else and will collect seeds to plant in celebration of a new litter born and bury their loved ones under the roots of the forest. They only hunt tree prey (birds, monkeys, etc) but guard their hunting grounds fiercely, by leaping from the branches and dive bombing any predator who is caught trying to hunt on their grounds. Species: Leopards only! Coloration: Any and all Naming Rules: Follow shop standard - no English names. Breeding: Leopard pairings only! Beyond that, no restrictions - the TreeWalkers will welcome straight or samesex pairings, single parents and adopted cubs and love them all the same. History - A relatively new clan formed by Rhobyn for the purposes of x, y and also z.
Territory - Jungle. Yes, the same jungle Khalima dwells in - it's a big jungle they can share. It won't expand beyond the jungle. They aren't a conquesting bunch, they're a clan of traditions
Prey - Anything that lives in the trees is fair game. That ranges from birds, monkeys, lizards or rodents. Some more ambitious FeatherPaws have even gone after constrictor snakes!

Ranks
First Paw - Rhobyn, the founder and leader of the Tree Walkers. She has the final say on a matter, but takes counsel often from members in her colony.
Second Paw - Second in command, to take over if Rhobyn is indisposed for one reason or another.
Feather Paws - The elites ranks of the Tree Walkers, Featherpaws are senior members of the Tree Walkers who are able to walk through the branches without making a sound. Often sent to gather information about others who come into the jungle, Feather Paws excel in stealth and experience. Rhobyn often seeks members of the Feather Paws for counsel.
Seed Paws - The nannies and gardeners of the Tree Walkers: Seed Paws take care of both the trees that the colony walks on and the cubs of the colony. Whether it's pulling a tick of a cub's fur or squishing invasive beetles off of a tree's bark, these caregivers are full of knowledge on how to preserve the future of the jungle forest for generations to come.
Quick Paws - The default rank for Tree Walkers, Quick Paws have learned how to move through the tree branches in both a swift and efficient manner. Skilled in hunting and, if need be, fighting in the treetops, QuickPaws make up the majority of the TreeWalkers colony, but can advance to another rank if they show interest and dedication to learning additional skills.
Root Paws - Cubs are contained to the ground dens of the main camp. Watched over closely by Seed Paws, adults will scruff a cub and escape into the closest tree if they sense danger coming from the ground level.

Traditions
The Seedling Ceremony - To welcome the birth or adoption of any leopard cub into the TreeWalkers, Seed Paws plant new seeds as a way of honoring them and bringing new life to the forest.
(WIP title) Roots of Your Labor Ceremony - A TreeWalker who has passed on is planted beneath the roots of a young tree, so that their body may continue to nourish the trees that future generations will walk upon.
Feather Paw Feast - A celebration of skill, honoring new Feather Paws joining the ranks. Details tbd, but lots of food and celebration.
Special Techniques
Tree Walking - The skill the colony was named for, tree walking ensures a unique and safe means of travel, for many of a leopard's predators wouldn't think to climb a tree in order to pursue them as prey or for a fight.
Death Drop Fighting - Leopards have been trained on how to drop down and attack from the trees. A powerful combination of gravity and claws ensure the lethality of this fighting move.
Religion
The TreeWalkers don't have a strict religious belief. Some members may consider themselves closer to their sky bound ancestors, while others believe that when you die, you turn into soil and it ends there.
Rhobyn knows that many lions believe that their ancestors live in the sky. She's climbed plenty of tall trees to squint at the moon before, but she's never seen a giant lion head appear, so she's pretty sure it's just lion nonsense again.
