- Nickname: You want more than the one he’s already given you? This one isn’t even his real name, you know.
Gender/Pronoun: Male, He/Him/His
Age: How could he keep track of all that? Centuries. Appears mid-thirties. [1042]
Birthday: -huff- Why don’t you pick one for him- he doesn’t know why it matterssssss. OnO [December 2, uuuuuh... 1990]
Sign: A heart! Obviously.
Gemstone: Turquoise
Blood Type: O+
Fav. Food: Anything someone else makes for him, and season it with all your love, please~
Hated Food: He’s not sure about hating food, but he’s not a huge fan of how long so much Earth food takes to prepare… Please put it in his mouth right now; the doneness doesn’t matter.
Occupation: He has a job! But he’s not allowed to tell you~ (He saved a rich kid from a monster and is now employed by the rich kid(s) to do whatever Things Need Doing: sometimes punching people, other times changing a lightbulb [whatever that is])
Hobbies:
- New Things: When on Earth, do what the Earthans do! And they do a lot, and it’s all weird, and it’s all different. Lovas’ experiences were limited even before the fall of his world, but he is at least familiar with being on a foreign planet and successfully assimilating. He will try anything with (almost) anyone, and it would frankly be a shock if he couldn’t find at least some joy in nearly every activity. Of things he has never done previously, he’s decided he likes swimming (he’s bad at it), cooking (he’s bad at it), reading (he’s bad at it), and also movies, zoos, and petting dogs (all with varying levels of success).
Clay/Pottery/Smithing: Common Lovasii pastime. Their typical materials are not available on Earth, and as such the actual crafting process is a little… different from what he’s accustomed to (and he’s not sad about it, it’s fine, different is fine, different is good). Iriel is willing to learn new methods with new tools and new practices, and it should probably not inspire any rogue feelings in him. He is noticeably better at it than most other Earthan activities, and he’ll make you lots of presents so that you like him more (even if you don’t like presents and/or don’t like him, you will Get. Presents.)~
Swordsmanship: The Lovasii people were notoriously brutish and ill-mannered, frequently resolving conflicts bare handed. But Lovas didn’t hang out on his own planet until the population started dwindling quickly, so he picked up other tricks from off-world because he was Too Good for his world’s typical methods. Swordplay was one of those other methods. And he’s not bitter about it, it’s totally fine. He didn’t really want even a semblance of a connection to his people. It’s fine. It’s been A While since he has had any partners in the practice, and he’s developed a little of a love-hate relationship with it, but it successfully kept him alive for several centuries against the Chaos, so…
Virtues:
- Flirty: Iriel is doing literally everything in his power to make you like him, regardless of how he feels about you. Internalizes every stray comment about things people like or don’t like, so as long as he has correct information, he will actively mold himself to suit the present company’s preferences. Gives compliments, holds open doors, makes you think he’s trying to get in your pants. He is very touchy and huggy as a default, but can be trained out of it with the right motivation. Or deeper into it. Up to you.
Light: Most conversations with Iriel should be easy breezy beautiful! He does not want to bring you down, and he is not trying to get deep. All of your faults and fears have no place rearing their heads with him around. <3 Come into the fold of his big, strong arms and bury your head in his tits to shield your delicate ears from the terrors of the world. Iriel will do whatever it takes to keep things from getting depressing, and he is aLwAyS sMiLiNg. ouo
Tenacious: Persistent and persevering. Iriel is not a goal-minded individual and doesn’t go out of his way to set milestones for things to happen, so when he does decide that something needs to occur or something needs to be done, he is very steadfast in his pursuit of That Thing. The long centuries have made him forgetful of many things and smoothed some of the brain-folds, so an active decision to remember and pursue is a binding commitment. He has a slow-growing list of objectives, and despite not wanting to set them often, it seems the list gets longer more quickly than it gets shorter…
Flaws:
- Evasive: Iriel is not excited to get into anything too serious, and he will do anything imaginable to get out of uncomfortable conversations or scenarios. He will deflect, ignore, reroute, whatever seems the most likely to succeed without making him come off as an a*****e. He still prioritizes being likable, usually, but maybe you have friends who are more suited to handling these things than he is…? No? Wow, that sucks. He has just historically not succeeded in dealing with his own problems very well, so it seems unlikely he’ll be able to handle yours. Anyway, why don’t we try and think about something else? Hm? You think he’s just trying to distract you? He would never!
Deceitful: If a thought sounds nice and sweet and pure, that’s probably better than voicing the reality, isn’t it? While not always intended with malice (though definitely sometimes intended with malice), he is inclined to soften the blow of most news, and you should only ever hear good things from him, and it is generally not well-hidden, giving him unreliable narrator vibes. It definitely started as mostly little lies about himself to cover gaps in his memory or blatantly unpleasant or unnecessary information and sort of just evolved to saying whatever was the easiest about everything. Definitely not a “since coming to Earth” trait, as he was actively encouraged to keep a certain facade while traveling away from his own planet, previously. In all likelihood, even people very ‘close’ to him are not likely to get more than a surface level experience.
Hyperindependent: While Lovas does actually enjoy being with people, he hasn’t had that opportunity in a long while, and to him it feels like a lot of the worst parts of himself have been exaggerated in the absence of anyone else. He doesn’t know how to seek assistance- and doesn’t want to learn. Feels unnecessary. He doesn’t want to display any type of vulnerability- vulnerability was highly frowned on even before he started to deal with the Chaos of his world, and has been a luxury he couldn’t afford ever since. Survival Existence has been his only priority. Anything that doesn’t immediately improve his physical standing is simply shut out. There have been a lot of things shut out that he doesn’t know how to get back.
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION
- Eyes: LAVENDER and shaped to be sweet and hopeful, but somehow looks like all the life has been drained out of them.
Hair: NOIR mostly chin-length, wavy, messy little curls. Has one longer strand behind his right ear, usually pulled over his shoulder.
Face: Square jaw, thicker brows, no freckles or wrinkles or piercings.
Skin Tone: COOL NEUTRAL
Body Type: Broad shoulders, tiny waist, rippling abs. All the initial descriptive words I typed for his thighs and biceps were very slightly more unhinged, so I omitted them. You get the picture. Hollywood-type built movie star. Very pretty and aware of it.
Clothes: He is actually very interested in various Earth styles, but it seems like so many of them are not suited to his particular shape? But he supposes the style doesn’t matter too much, as long as he is successfully able to show off enough assets.

Attacks:
- Sailor Scout Attack: Take care, or you might break something~
For thirty seconds, targets in a ten-foot radius around Lovas will believe that their bones are just a touch more fragile, thinking a stray step may risk a broken ankle, or a misswing could cause a broken wrist. Taking a hit may crack a rib. While the magic doesn’t cause any actual broken bones, the fear of it inspires caution and deliberate care. All sensations end when the magic does, but at player discretion, characters may take more damage than they usually would. Three uses.
Super Sailor Scout Attack: Well, I did warn you.
For thirty-five seconds, targets in a fifteen-foot radius around Lovas will believe that their bones are just a touch more fragile, thinking a stray step may risk a broken ankle, or a misswing could cause a broken wrist. Taking a hit may crack a rib. While the magic doesn’t cause any actual broken bones, the fear of it inspires caution and deliberate care. A character who ignores the warning signs may experience the pain and disability of a broken bone, making it hard to use. All sensations end when the magic does, but at player discretion, characters may take more damage than they usually would. Two uses.
Eternal Sailor Attack: Shatter. <3
For forty-five seconds, targets in a twenty-foot radius around Lovas will believe that their bones are much more fragile, thinking a stray step may risk a broken ankle, or a misswing could cause a broken wrist. One use.
Deep Space Senshi:
- Physical Features:
His skin color is more of a MINKY BROWN than a natural color. Has mid-length pointed ears and dulled fangs. Most unusual are the little divots under his eyes. Lovas’ world has only very sparse water, and its inhabitants would come into contact with liquid water only very rarely. His eye pocket vents can absorb moisture out of the air, but will probably not serve much purpose on Earth, where he can simply drink normally.
Backstory/History: Awakened at sixteen, with the near-immediate fortune(?) of being ‘discovered’ by a Senshi from a neighboring world ———— (name redacted and will hereby be referred to as Other). Lovas Senshi were notoriously short-lived due to the generally brutish and anti-magic sentiments of its people, with an underdeveloped world to go along with it.
Other offered to take Lovas under his wing, teach him how to be a Senshi, funnel supplies to his world to help bring it up, give him advice on how to not be killed by his people, and so on and so forth. The only catch was that they would need to do so from Other’s world, as there was no way he was hanging around on Lovas waiting to be ambushed by barbarians. Despite some doubt from his immediate family, Lovas agreed.
He spent nearly two decades on Other’s world, longer than he’d even lived on his own. And while he definitely felt more capable… he wasn’t sure how much more suited to his own world he was.
Upon his first return to his world (it was apparently too difficult and resource-consuming to make such trips frequently- which he probably should’ve thought was off sooner, as he and Other had traveled to a myriad of planets), it was to find that Chaos had been festering. He’d been told his world would be better off with aid from Other’s planet. Instead, Other’s objective was only to clear-cut the world. Erase the life so that the minerals could be more easily harvested, and then the world could be scraped. Used Lovas, the Senshi, until his usefulness wore out. Kill him, move onto next world.
The Chaos had very few noticeable tells. It would infect people without them noticing, remaining practically dormant for weeks on end and only twisting their personality very slowly. It was a patient destruction that would inhabit bodies and gently shift them toward anger, then violence, and eventually destruction, wrecking anything they came in contact with. Even once the human mind and will had completely expired, the Chaos could continue to use their bodies until there was nothing left of them.
When Lovas returned to Other’s world for the last time, he brought the Pollution with him, planted it on Other’s planet and left to his own world permanently.
Despite being a completely different person than when he’d originally left, his world’s people took to him easily, and he fought alongside them against the Chaos as the population dwindled and dwindled and was extinguished, with only him left. Promises he’d made while his friends lived kept him fighting, but it was many years. Decades. Centuries. Their faces faded in his memory. And their words. He doesn’t remember with any clarity why he’s persistent in living, only that he is. And he has to purge this evil from his world for… reasons.
It’s been the only thing that mattered for so long.
Even now that there are no bodies for the Chaos to populate, it moves in twisting piles of tendrils, seeking any scraps left to ruin, and it seems there is very much of it. It is difficult not to encounter a Pollution swarm on Lovas’ world.
And as Lovas was sure he was at his end, another force pulled at him, and he was sent to Earth.
