goofy dream last nite:
i noticed my roommate's dog had been unnaturally quiet
and after a short search, found the poor creature dead in the backyard,
stiff as a board, her eyes glassy and open, unblinking in the winter sun
I agonized over how to break the news to the household
and texted my roommate see if she could come home early
I lead her to the corner of the yard, where the dog lay
and my roommate began to laugh
"oh, I didn't need to leave work for this.
she's just put herself in stasis.
pop her in the microwave for about 40 seconds
and she'll be right as rain"
and sure enough, she was
