xxxCaitriona was born to Hamish and Maisie Bruce at University Hospital Wishaw in Lanarkshire. She's the eldest of three children. Ever since she first learned to walk, Cait was a ball of energy. She never learned how to sit still or calm down. As she grew up, broken bones were a common thing that she experiences, usually from her doing dumb things. Her parents enrolled her in a variety of activities to keep her energy well down, such as football, rugby, and wrestling. When she was ten years old, her neighbor's house caught fire. Cait didn't hesitate and ran into the blaze to save the inhabitants. Her magic accidentally showed itself when she shot a jet of water to put out a fire blocking a doorway. As the firefighters arrived, she was dragging out the unconscious mother and carrying her newborn as well. On her eleventh birthday, someone arrived at their house to explain magic to her family and tell them that she'd been accepted to a magical school.
