Koryo City

This is a thread where you can Rp as your character within Koryo City. Koryo is the central city on the Air Level which is a bustling Metropolis.

It had been a while now but Makota had finally arrived at Koryo. The city the lie in the middle of the Air Level. He was unsure on why exactly he had decided to come him at first, but most recently the increasing glow of his pendant was what had kept him interested.

He was beginning to feel worn down. He had travelled many miles and at last he was on the outskirts of the city. The noise of business could be heard even from where he was in the relatively quiet boundries of the city.

Makota decided he had to find a place to rest before his body did that automatically. He hadn't slept in a comfortable bed for long time now. Hopefully he could find and Inn or Hotel nearby.

After a little while of walking he came across a small Inn, relatively simple in comparison to the rest of the city. Most importantly it had vacancies and wasn't expensive. He had little money and he could tell that it wasn't going to go far here, he would have to find a job. That shouldn't be hard in such a large town...he hoped.

He booked himself a room at the Inn, he stored his few items there apart from his sword and pendant. He washed up and left the Inn in hope to find a job that he could manage.

He walked further into the city. As he did he noticed the gradual increase of the building size and how the roads also had an increase in traffic. There did not appear to be to many jobs available, well not without some kind of reference.

He had spent a few hours walking the streets of Koryo before he found a small shop it was a bakery. It had a combination of both magic use and technology use. He had found his job at last. It had what seemed like a high pay to what he was used to but when he thought about some of the prices he had seen he realised that this was moderate really.

He began to head back to the Inn which he had booked a room, it was late afternoon now. The light was beginning to fade and to his surprise the Inn wasn't far away. He had ultimately walked a circle round an avenue of the city which lead him to his lodging...almost.

From here it was a short walk back. He got back and returned to his room. He laid on his bed as he gradually drifted into a sleep thinking about working at his new job was going to be like. He loked forward to working at 'Kyril's Bakery'.

He had rested peacefully. It was a bright and early morning when he awoke. With a feeling of excitement and anticipation he prepared himself for his first day at work. Once ready and with some food in his belly he set off for his work place. On arrival he was appointed simply as what was called 'Counter worker' this simply involved serving items from the cabinets and preparing orders. He was hoping to have a job that involved his techinical skills but to his dismay all he had was a job that invloved his social skills.

He had had a disappointing day at his new job. It hadn't at all been like how he imagined. On his way home he was passing the same old scenery once again. Then he decided he would maybe take a look at the local scenery and take a trip to a park that was nearby to his work. Taking alleys and streets he began to feel slightly lost. Suddenly there was black. Black and only black. What had happened?

As he awoke he opened his eyes slightly to see a dark sky, it was night time. He had been attacked for what reason he did not know, he had no money. In pain he limped his way back to his home in fear of further attacks.

Mato liked this city.
It was crowded and she could easily hide within the crowds of people. It was easy for her to become a nobody. Grinning to herself, there would be so many easy targets here! She ducked into an empy alley and looked up at the sky. What should she do here? Con artist? Thievery for a price? Her thoughts began to wander until a fat drop of water brought her back to the present. It was beginning to rain.

Damn, I need to find a place to live. She ran and took shelter in the nearest doorway. Sitting on the stairs she sighed. It was time to start stealing again.

Newsnewsnewsnewsnewsnewsnewsnewsnews...
Enigma was getting a little desperate. She'd been searching high and low for a story all day. She'd not found anything worthy of this week's front page. She'd just have to go with the lost puppies...
She sighed and looked down. "Hey, is that..." She reached down. "Blood?"

Finally Leori had reached the city. It was not as bustling and all-over-the-place as she had thought. It seemed as though today was a quiet day in Koryo. That was fine with the young raccoon, but she needed something to do. Anything, anything at all.

Mato hung around the city's entrance. It was always easier to steal from the newcomers. She leant against a building looking for a victim to steal from...

Walking through the busy main street of the city, trenchcoat billowing out behind her, Faith turned right suddenly and stepped into a dark, deserted side alley. Her boots crunched over rodent skulls as she counted her steps under her breath and stopped at 43.
Turning her head to look at the wall on her right, she muttered an incantation and a steel doorway appeared in the bricks. She knocked on the metal three times, and waited patiently until she heard the familar sound of the 4 inch bolt being pulled back. The door opened and she smiled at the face that appeared behind it.
The eyes of the door man looked hostile at first, then brightened as he recognised the person standing in front of him.
"Faith!", he said as he opened the door wider "Lovely to see you after so long"
She stepped into the dark hall and beamed at the old man smiling back at her.
"It's been too long to be honest" she sighed as she handed him her coat. "He is upstairs I trust?"
"Where else?" The man chuckled as she began climbling the steep, spiral staircase.
Upon reaching the long landing she headed for the door at the end which she knew was his workshop.
Gingerly tucking a strand of her long, silver hair behind her ear she gently pushed open the door and caught sight of her friend standing by the window.
Wearing all black and leaning against the window frame, she noticed that he looked great. Especially compared to how he was when she last saw him. Matt was the kind of guy that always bounced back from something horrific as if it was only a fly on the windscreen.
"Still wearing all the black I see" she called as she stepped into the room, closing the door behind her.
Matt twirled round on hearing her voice and appeared to be in shock before rushing up to her and taking her in his arms.
"I missed you Faith" he breathed into her hair "Why didn't you come round sooner?"
"I've been really busy" she said, as she broke the embrace. "You know how things are with the club. It's the reason I'm here...."
She trailed off as he walked back to the window.
"I need a favour......"

Makota had been pretty badly beaten up. Mostly all he suffered was heavy bruising and a some small flesh wounds. Yet being in the pain that he was he had not been able to go to work. Really he wasn't complaining he had become slightly fearful of the city. Though he was getting paid half wage this wasn't going to last long in the city.

He rose from his bed in which he had been laying. He made a some what crooked walk towards the side board on which he had left the pendant. It still had the same mystical glow. It had begun to annoy him now, he like to know the working of things. Yet this had left him baffled. It could not be opened to be inspected, the only clue to it's glow was the magical insriptions that were upon it. Yet this served him no purpose he had not studied this language, perhaps it could be something to look into. He carried on staring at the magical glow of the pendant.

The small runic symbols which were present on the pendant had only aroused Makota's curiosity of what this pendant was, not to mention what it's use was. He could not sit in the small stuffy room any longer. With a sigh he threw on some clean clothes and began out once again in to the city which he now had somewhat of a fear about.

"There must be a library in a city this size" he muttered to himself. He had wandered along the maze like streets for sometimes now. He felt like it was his first day in town once again. Finally plucking up enough courage he asked a stranger for directions. On receiving their reply he realized he had only just missed it twice.

Following the directions that he had been given he found the large building and entered feeling glad to be out fo the open. Now he was greeted with something even scarier. Shelves were lined with ancient looking books and many other colourful and newer ones. His hope was to find one that would inform him of anything about the mysterious glowing pendant.

Bored. It was the only word for the feeling that was ransacking every inch of Leori's body. She kept to the shadows but long for some action. Anything would be good. Then she felt a shiver run down her spine as a tear from the sky made its way through her flaxen tresses to her scalp, where it felt like she was about to freeze. The raccoon looked up and scowled softly. "So much for fair weather," she muttered, not quickening her pace in the slightest. She liked water; it was the means for life. She also didn't mind getting wet. But she didn't like the cold. Cold and Leori just didn't mix. The raccoon began to search for shelter. She hoped she would come to an inn somewhere, or at least a restaurant or bar.

Fyrinae moved through the city as if she actively enjoyed being bumped around like a pinball. Occasionally she would stop and twirl in the rain, holding her staff close to her. She hadn't had any activity in mind, particularly, but then again she never did. "Wheeeeee!" she giggled, skipping down a relatively empty alleyway.
