New Features Discussion
This is the New Features Discussion, where you can chat about...well, any new features. sweatdrop Maybe
you want to brag about your house, give advice on which one to buy. Talk about houses, the
upcoming Battle feature, or even new things that might be happening in the DTD shop, such
as breedable dragons, auctions, or the new monthly dragons. whee

I'll start this off, asking why Gaia Homes are so desirable.
Reasons they might be attraactive to others:
1) THEY'RE NEW!!!
2) You can buy different things to furnish your house
3) Houses might be another way of showing status
Things that I see in Gaia Homes:
1) Gold-suckers
2) Unless this is changed or I'm mistaken, they don't produce any income
3) You can't do anything in them. gonk You can see people's avatars, but as far as I'm concerned it's a bit of a knock off from cokemusic.com.
Yes, I am tempted to get a hosue and buy furniture for it, but unless someone can convince me otherwise, my views remain. domokun

lol! I dun think I'm in anyone else's house right now.
I like the housing because I love drafting and design. So it's fun to play with furniture/item placement n whatnot.
And it's another thing to occupy me when I'm bored. *nods*

Grey Dragon I like the idea of putting people into my suitcase to put in my house. xd *smuggles more threadlings into the suitcase* Grey wants action figures of us all XD I see them as gold-suckers too o_o but the gold has to go somewhere and I suppose it can be...kind of cool. Question to anyone with a house: When purchasing  ceiling/wall/floor tiles/wallpaper do you have to purchase each individual tile? Or does one purchase cover the entire area? *hasn't made a house yet...might...eventually*

Yeah, the customizing is fun, but it's different than avatars, to me. Because people see your avatar every single time they see your post. They have to click a button and wait (not long but it's still waiting) for the house to load. gonk

I rather like it. The houses give insight to a person's personality, and I think it's cool to see what people have done to their houses, in the same way that I like seeing interesting avatars.
They are gold-suckers though, I didn't realize until I was done with it, but I wasted most of the gold I was saving up for the dragon elemental set. sweatdrop Gah!

What I don't like is you can't preview before you buy wall and floor for your house. I wasted some gold before I figured out what I liked.
I still like having a house though! I'm going to, umm..put stuff in it someday... yeah... someday....

And yes, I think a preview feature would be good... The purpose of Gaia Homes isn't to waste gold...maybe you should suggest that?
