Welcome to the Ruby Room,

This is the place where you can create your own private RolePlays just for members, or where you can start a storyline and gain input from other members to make collaborative stories. Virtually any written works that are written by more than just yourself are welcome, no matter the genre or topic behind it. In this area you are free to write what ever you wish and to share the creative written process with others.

Please be aware of the rules, for we crack down harshly upon offenders who choose to break them. We are well aware that most of you will wish to RP your Kinselves in one regard or another, and that is fine, but please ensure that you keep to the rules and don't powerplay your character. As fun as it is to be yourself, it's no fun for others if you God-Mod invincibility. No matter who you are, or who you used to be, you are not completely invincible... everyone has weaknesses, and if you do not wish to exploit your own personal ones, then be more creative with your characters.

And above all else, have fun, for that's why we're truely here. To be amongst others that share our passions.

Rules and Regulations

Now, with that said, as much as you are here to have fun, there are some specific rules we wish for you to keep in mind at all times. Not because we wish to be Nazis, but because we want to make this a fun place for everyone, and that means taking into consideration everyone's feelings about what they read, and what they participate in.

1. Follow Guild and Gaia TOS at all times. Any breaking of the rules, even In-Character, will result in the standard punishments already in place.

2. For those of you that don't know what the heck that is... no spamming, flaming, trolling, advertising or otherwise causing a nuisance of yourself. Anyone found doing so will be promptly ridiculed at our discression and repeat offenders will be unhesitataingly reported to the nearest moderator for further such ridicule. It is up to Crew if the offense is harsh enough to warrent banning, and all such reports about inappropriate behaviour will be seriously considered amongst them to see if it is warrented.

3. Romance is fine, it happens in every good story. However anything above PG13+ will be reported swiftly, take it to PMs and IMs for cybering and such. We're here to create a decent story, not to make out... clothes stay on, and parts stay in your pants. There are younger children present here, and while friendships are encouraged, anything more than kissing and holding hands may be offensive to them. So keep that in mind as you go.

4. Do not God-Mod.. this is one of Tarje's pet peeves and it will get you flamed by his sharp-tongue, followed by a swift kick in the butt. There is no such thing as an automatic hit, everyone gets a chance to react in a fight, and I'm sure we'll end up with some of that here somewhere too. I don't care what powers you do or don't have, either in character or in real life. These are stories created by, and for, friends to read and to participate in.

5. Don't kill others unless they want to be killed. Backstabbing from the shadows is fine, but you will not automatically end their life. This rule goes hand-in-hand with the one above, and you will recieve the same punishment for it. Or worse.

6. Please keep your ideas and character/s original, do not steal from others either within this guild or from Barton Town, it is pointless and it shows your lack of creativity. If you are having difficulties in coming up with a character or an idea, talk it over with someone, either the creator of the thread you wish to participate in, or with Tarje, who is always available to help wherever he can. Bastiahna is always open to help you create original images of your characters too, ones that you are free to use as you wish. Just PM her anytime to discuss it.

7. Please keep the level of literacy at a decent high. Most of us can't stand 1337 or chatspeak (shortening your worths to "u r" or "y u" etc. It is annoying, and if you cannot type a minimum of five lines per post, then state so when you join, or create your RP. Spelling and grammar errors are fine when accidental, but we will not stand for a purposefully large amount of them.

8. Keep OOC to a minimum. If you are going to play, then play... if you want OOC take it to the Spambox. We do not mind chatting OOC in (( )) {{ }} or whatever, but it must be accompanied by a decent post. See the rule above for further details of Tarje's definition of decent.

9. Tarjanien is the Ultimate DM/ST/God of this section, so what he say goes. Listen to his instructions at all times and do NOT talk-back when you have been issued instructions. Once again, this is a pet peeve that will get you beaten, and he has spent a long time participating in Roleplays so he does know what he's talking about.

10. We reserve the right to change, add, modify, or delete any or all of these rules at a moment's notice, as necessary to keep things on track, and at a safe level for everyone to participate in. If you think that something you may type, a post or an idea you have, may not be suitable for everything, then ask first rather than having our displeasure brought down upon you.
