...the woman who was origionally going to play Inara? Why did Joss not use her? Any answers would be appreciated.

The actress was Rebecca Gayheart.
They let her go after a day of shooting, I think, because she didn't just seem to be Inara.

(I saw Rebecca Gayheart in a TV movie once... a really bad one, but still.... and I thought "That could have been Inara!!!"))

IMDB.com is the Internet Movie Data Base. I love that sight! It has everything about every movie. Just type in the movie and it comes up with the cast, writers, director, fun facts, everything! Or, type in an actor and find out everything they played.

I heard that they brought her in for like, one episode to film but then she didn't have the right chemestry with Mal, like, they couldn't like eachother. So Joss got someone new.

It was going to be Gayheart? oh- I didn't know
I think she's so beautiful and probably could play a Companion... but I really think Morena Baccarin was too perfect for the role.
I can't see any other actors playing the characters than those that were chosen. Definitely a credit to the casting staff and Whedon.
