The Proposal
"Yuki, what's going on, where're we going?"
"Don't worry, Maria, it's a surprise."
"Yuki, you tell me where you're taking me right now!"
"Shhh, Maria, keep your voice down, you're going to wake Chiemi-"
"But-"
Yuki then covered her mouth with his and silenced her. "There, you go Maria, are you going to be a good little girl and be quiet now?" He then stroked her cheek and started to walk her through an open door, into her backyard. He then walked her past there, into the forest beyond the house.
Worriedly, she turned towards Yuki questioningly.
"Do not fret, my love, just keep walking." He then grabbed her hand in his and lead her to an open field of flowers with a stream flowing through it.
"Yuki, it's so beautiful..."
"Yes, you are... Maria..." Yuki then kneeled, taking out a bundle from his back pocket, his hand seemed to produce a beautiful ring. "Maria, marry me?"
Covering her face to hide her blush and her ever growing smile, she sqeaked a tiny little 'yes'.
"Maria, you've made me the happiest man in the world." Then, scooping her up he placed a chaste kiss on her lips as he seemed to notice, someone atop the hill.
Winking, she said something that only he could hear, "Take care of my dear girl."
Nodding while glancing at her, he then turned to Maria and kissed her once more for the amount of happiness that he was feeling deep within his heart.
After their kiss, she smiled at him and reminded herself of the mental note that her Chiemi-neechan had given her. 'Men begin as fragile as our very hearts, they then seem to grow a body of their own and hide their hearts from the outside world, seek your beloved and when you find it, take good care of him for he is as precious as your very heart.' Maria, didn't seem to understand what that had meant a while ago, but now, she knew... Men are vulnerable, alone, but when they seem to hide their hearts, they act manly and some become addicted to this new feeling of wins, but others stick to what they started doing it for-acception, love~
