I was just sitting here feeling kinda curious about what the people in this guild prefer more: the sweet and fluffy boys love...or the more hardcore and graphic yaoi?

I likes Ecchi shonen-ai
yaoi only works when your in the right mood, not to mentino yoai is mostly focused on porn
shonen-ai however you can get sex and fluff and loving relationships 3nodding
though knowing they have sex would help xd so thats why i choose Ecchi shonen-ai smile

Actualy techinicly it's now BL (Boy's love) with Yaoi being a sub-genre. When I started out over 6 years ago on the net, it was yaoi/slash sometimes shonen ai. I remember when you refered to your ficks as limes and lemons. Boy I feel old now....
Things changed though many still use the old terms.
The New Terms (according to the termonology enforcers)
BL= All that is males loveing males, can be without smut or with whee
Yaoi= PWP, some concider it an insult to call it such
Slash= It's not cannon and in the minds of the fans
Shonenai= No longer used due to conotations of shota (once called chanslash I think)
Lime= not quite a lemon, not much used anymore
Lemon= racy fanfic.
Henati = het or in some cases lesbian action
Yuri = I think it's still f/f
Femslash= slash with girls
EDIT: I tend to favor a plot over anything else. If there is no sex but a fantastic plot, I can write my own lemon if I want wink

Oh, a glossery (sp?)...that clears some things up. I like to read things with a good plot so point of BL! I might read yaoi if I'm bored... ninja

but me i prefer a mix of both,it always depends on watch catches my eye or what my mood is. (i usually tend to lean to the hardcore yaoi thou wink WHOOT! show me the buttsex

Give him yours! 3nodding Shounen-ai describes a boy/boy relationship, mostly just cute romance and such. Yaoi is used to describe a male/male relationship with explicit sexual content I guess you'd say. 'Lemon' is a term used for fanfictions depicting very graphic scenes, whether it be yaoi, het, or yuri.

I like a mix of both.
If it only focuses on sex, it's not good (unless I'm in the mood to read nothing but that.)
If it only focuses on fluffiness and there is never a sex scene, then that's a bit dissapointing.
So... the best mangas are when there is a little bit of both.
Or, at least some character and plot development with all of the yaoi.
