I have to say it's a toss-up between the old and the new for me. I love My Fair Lady (with audrey hepburn, no less), but I just saw rent and fell in love...As for stage, I love Hello Dolly, Wicked, and Phantom.
I'm wondering what your opinions are... question

oooh, i LOVE Wicked. I haven't seen it on stage, but I've read the libretto and listened to the soundtrack over and over and i have some (shhhhh!) bootlegged and bad quality videos of certain performance. Wicked is the Best!

"Grease", I've seen the movie so many times that when I recently watched it in German I knew it practically word for word anyway! sweatdrop
I haven't seen any on stage, unless you count amateur productions. Out of those I saw a pretty good version of South Pacific.
