It was a little over the top saying I would be a librarian, I was hyper because I knew I was getting the job. I'm a "page", not a librarian (although I am looking at it as a serious career, somewhat). It's cool though, I now work in one of my favorite places. So, sorry for saying I would be and offending anyone who really is a librarian. But it's still cool getting paid $6.oo an hour to shelve books right now...

Sounds more peaceful than my job! I was actually thinking about applying at one of the libraries here. I'd like to have a nice mellow part time job to make some extra cash.

Dolt that I am, I actually volunteered two summers ago to shelve books. So much for getting paid to touch books. Thing is, I'm going to try and do it again this summer. sweatdrop

I don't know who you may have offended honey. I'm sorry if you go that impression. I was just inquiring because I was curious about the schooling involved. It sounds like you still have a cool job biggrin

I'm about to go to college and I fully expect to live at the library, whether studying or not. Maybe I can even get a job at the library or one of the many bookstores in the town! Sorry, I got sidetracked. Trust me, no one was pissed off at you. As it is, enjoy being paid to touch books, it's more than I've done.

Congratulations on getting the job. But you never answered my question from before; what do people do to books? I am an avid booksale enthusiast, and your previous post sounded ominous. Please, tell me its nothing overly noxious. eek

I've got the same kind of job, m'self, but over here you're a full-fledged librarian then. Of course I don't just shelf books; I also do a lot of the administrative work involved. biggrin It's a fun job. Congratulations on getting it.

if you apply to a bookstore try to do it before school starts like in august or september, because all the college kids go back then
