50's? 60's? 70's? 80's? 90's? 00's?
Tell me your favorite and why... because I'm curious and bored.

It's all about the 70's with the start of rock n' roll. Where it was more of a blues funk. example Led Zepplin. These are the years where nothing mattered but the music. Even rallies for politics and major events involved music. You just don't see that anymore.

I prefer the music from the 60's to 70's because of several awesome bands:
Led Zepplin, Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Blondie,
I must honestly say that the lyrics to music at that time seemed to be more interesting and the chorus didn't repeat so much. I love the lyrics to "Across the Universe"
That and it wasn't so pop-like....or so i believe in my delusion.

I dunno, I love such a wide range of music I can't really say I like one time period more than another. At the moment however, I am very into the 80s. It's all about the second british invasion baby! Duran Duran, Depeche Mode, Tears for Fears, Culture Club, ABC, Spandau Ballet, Kajagoogoo, Adam and the Ants, The Eurythmics, Wham, Softcell

I like music from all decades, but I love the 80s. I love New Wave and Post punk. The pop music at that time was also better.

50's - the birth of rock and roll! or 90's -Grundge, baby! I can't choose between them, I love my rock, but where would we be without the alternative scene?

60s to 70s. I dare not say 80s because that is when John Lennon died. sad But 60s and 70s were the best, think of all the great bands: The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Led Zepplin, and more. And Van Halen, he was in the 80s but he was still cool.

Despite my lack of knowledge of Classical music, I vote that over most of contemporary music. Sure, a rock band is probably what I enjoy playing in, but any monkey can play an E5 on a stinking loud electric guitar. It's damned harder to create anything that many of the Classical composers have done, and I respect that more than anything.
I believe that people who can't appreciate Classical music, can't truly appreciate music generally. But that's just me. ninja
