Hi guyz *waves*,
I was wondering what you ppls' fav movie was? Mine still is Movie numero 3!! I loved the 4th one too, but felt it was abit jumbled up & practically zero "smooth" transmission between scenez (thats just me thinking ofcourse). I kinda had to take the "commentator" role for my couzins and Friends (who haven't read the fourth one) every single time we went to watch the movie rofl ! I guess what I am saying is it was hard for those who didnt read the book to follow (hey u may think "serves them right!", and thats alright too wink ) ... but Also, I felt there were some scenes that could have been ommitted and some other scenes that should have been on it...like instead of showing harry's dream 4 timez, they could have put WINKY in neutral !! anyhow, over all I'll say they did an awesome job in at least keeping the storyline parallel to the book...as much as humanly possible I guess. I mean it must have been super hard to cram in that gigantic book in that small space of time (no wonder everything seemed so crammed...I personally wouldn't have minded a 3 hour movie really lol )!! So for that me hats off for them!!...but as a Die-Hard H.P nutter, I still bought it yesterday lol!!

P.S: You might have seen this in another guild, but as it didn't stimulate much conversation, hopefully things will get better here sweatdrop !

I like better the fourth one. There is more action and the graphics are better.

I didn't like the fourth one as much. They missed out loads of details like that woman who went missing because Voldemort had killed her.

I liked the first film best because it was an excellent sampling of the book. It didn't leave a lot out and was very visually interesting and well rounded. The 3rd book is my favorite but that made the movie all the more frustrating because they left out a lot of the more interesting details. And the 4th film was all spectacle and no substance. They left out a lot of back round information and side plots. It was all about special effects which made it a visually worthwhile film but intellectually hollow. That is just my opinion of course.

I second this notion.

The first movie held the magic of the books and kept it going without too much effort. The second was a snore-fest, the third was just frustrating. (I mean, plenty of time for a meaningless romp around Hogwarts on a gryphon but none for the plot? And the Firebolt at the end? Frustrating.) Fourth was just as K.trout said. It was a series of pretty things flashing across the screen with a semblance of plot to hold it together. The director was obviously a H/Hr shipper, and Hermione got some of the other character's best lines. I'm happiest with the first, and just keep getting disappointed as the rest get worse and worse. Maybe someone will get the brilliant idea of the intermission again and make the 5th movie crazy long. One can only hope...

Personally, I like the first and second movies. They were the two that were closest to the books. There were even the ghosts. The third one would be next.I didn't like how they made Hagrid's hut a lot bigger, and so far away from the castle.I also didn't like how the students wore muggle clothes all through the year.I didn't like the fourth one as much. There was so much missing and it was all jumbled up.And I was so looking forward to seeing the letter from the Weasley's.And what about Weasley's Wizarding Weezes? The Ton-Tongue Toffee? That not being in it has completely ruined the twins' plot for the next two movies. The ghosts being taken out has runined that too.And Peeves, he was never it in to begin with.He is very important for the 5th one, when the twins leave the school.I am looking forward to that the absolute most.I really hope it's just not butchered like the fourth movie.

I liked the 4th movie best, by far! I thought the first and second movies were flat and left out the little things that made those two books exciting--those books have more, smaller details than the later ones, which have much larger, broader scopes. I thought teh 4th movie caught a lot of the excitement and the energy of the 4th book, even if tehy did leave out a lot of detail. i think the 3rd movie was ok, but was flat, and I was intensly disapointed in the first 2 movies. The 4th had a lot more humor than any of the others (duh, the twins were actually in it) and it was much darker and scarier biggrin .

Have you forgotten that the twins were in it from the very beginning?
They were in all four of them.

I liked CoS the best. Good book, good movie, the directors didn't exaggerate any slightly romantic moments, and it was back when we had the old Dumbledore. sad

Of course, it may just be my favorite because it was when we saw the most Draco/Hermione moments. mad d

I liked the Fourth one a lot because I think the scenes played out closer to what I imagined, also the acting got way better, and I think the director was better because he was actually English. But the writing was not so good, and I didn't like the way they left a bunch of stuff out, but what they kept satisfied me.
The third one was my least favorite, it was aweful. It had a bunch of added on nonesense and they left out half the plot. The acting sucked and I felt like it was a very loose adaptation. What the hell were they thinking when they chose Alfonso Cauron?? I mean, haven't they seen Y tu Mama Tambien?? That is not Harry Potter!
The first and second were the truest to the books, plus they had more action from the side plots so yeah... and Alan Rickman in the first one! OMG
"People will think your...up to something," man he is cool.

I can't wait for the fifth movie! John Cleese! Woo!
