Just to add some minor dettails in coffee's first arriving to Brazil:
There weren't any "smuggled seeds". Well, it's not like someone had stalked into a granary and then "borrowed" some seeds or anything of the like... The Baron Palheta, from Brazil, received some spawns as a gift from a french noble friend of him (can't remember what kind of title she had), and brought those to Brazil along with him. Of course, it was prohibited to bring such a thing from France, but he managed to do it. Then, he raised those at some of his lands for his own use only. But later, he started to spread the coffee through his lands, and not much later on, coffee started to "appear" in other people's lands also... The rest you can figure out. 3nodding
By the way: our coffee is probably the best of the world, due to the fact it is so fres I can swear sometimes I smell the land it was planted in. eek Ok, I'm exagerating.... sweatdrop but it IS really very very good. 3nodding

I just gave a presentation about the history of coffee and tea in my English class. 3nodding I mostly used this linkfor information, and I thought it was fairly well written and understandable (for those whose English is not perfect, like me).

lol...Awesome job at the history. Being at a local coffee shop I will believe that 400 billion cups of coffee are guzzeled in a year if not more. I really wouldn't be surprised^^; It is an awesome drink^^ v

I'm drinking coffee right now, ha ha, I shouldn't really, it's probably the reason for why I'm so short, it stunts your growth, but I'm addicted so I can't stop. Who cares, it tastes good and all, so might as well drink it.
