I think the great wall was built in the Dynasty right before Han... which only lasted one generation. I don't remember the name, I think it is Qin...
Well, anyways, the guy who built it was also responsible for the destruction of many literary arts and deaths during the construction of the wall. Before, the wall was just sections built by dynasties that were protecting themselves, but it was the Qin (?) who completed it...
It has been two years since I saw the documentary on it...
