Announcements
~ June 4 - Okay, so Grey wasn't too happy that I haven't kept up my journal. But Grey is happy that we are ready to open the breeding program.
~ May 5 - Well, my vacation back in April was rather enjoyable, and was followed by several breakthroughs in the studies. I expect my employer has big things planned for this center.
~ March 9 - Several eggs from my first clutch hatched rather earlier than expected. I will be adopting them out after I have collected DNA samples.
~ March 5 - I am currently looking for a good pair of shoes. Feel free to drop in suggestions.

DTD Breeding SystemWith the recent discoveries regarding dragon genetics and lifestyles, the DTD Research center will be opening up a breeding system this summer. For a small fee, registered dragons can be bred to produce a clutch of eggs. Regular or tiny clutches may be requested, and certain genetic modifications will be available for those who wish to purchase them.
If you are interested in participating in the breeding system, please read the information below.Registration - Registering your dragons is free of charge. Once registered, the dragon will be able to breed three times during the year's breeding season(late May - early September). - You may only register Regular sized dragons for breeding. No dragon may be registered twice(eg. you can't register a male and a female Stormrider if you only purchased one Stormrider). You may register both Grey and Ferret's dragons. - There is no limit to how many dragons you can register, but we would prefer if you registered only dragons you plan on breeding. - Regular offspring can be registered for breeding if registration is open, but we try to avoid inbreeding. - DTD Asiatics are already considered Registered, and don't need to follow any additional steps before breeding. - To register your dragon, you must fill out the following form and post it on this thread. If the dragon is open for breeding offers, other owners may contact you to arrange a breeding with this dragon.[b]Dragon's Name[/b]: (eg. Fred)
[b]Type[/b]: (eg. Spitfire)
[b]Gender[/b]: (Male or Female)
[b]Open for breeding offers?[/b]: (Yes or No) Breeding - Only dragons on the Registry list will be allowed to breed, and only when there are open spots available on the list. - Breeding two of the same type of dragon won't result in more of those dragons. So, two cobwebs will have lots of little cobwebby offspring, but none of them will exactly match their parents. - If the breeding dragons are owned by two different people, we don't care who sends the trade or how you work out who gets which offspring. However, each offspring can't be owned by more than one person. - To breed registered dragons, you can claim an open spot by posting the order form found under the Breeding Options and Fees section. Then you have to send breeding fees to this account. Once the clutch has hatched, they will be posted in pickup, and we will confirm your trade. Then you can pick them up and confirm on your end. Breeding Options and FeesPlanning to breed your dragons? Select one of the three options below, and then any genetic additions you would like for your clutch. Please post the Breeding Request form below to claim an open slot on the breeding list.
Options
- Regular - 400g: Involves a single clutch of three eggs, which will hatch into regular sized dragons.
- Tiny - 200g: Involves a single clutch of three eggs, which will hatch into tiny sized dragons.
- Asiatic - 6 000g: Involves a single clutch of three baggies, which will grow into Asiatics as described on Grey's Spot. (Only for Asiatic parents)
Additions (Not available for Asiatics)
- Increase clutch size to five - +300g for Regular, +150g for Tiny.
- Addition of Dominant GH-1SHY gene to clutch - +100g.
- Addition of Dominant 8SECT2 gene to clutch - +150g.
- Addition of Dominant FAEX-23 gene to clutch - +200g.
* Please note that genetic additions are only visible in tiny dragon clutches, although they may be added to regular dragon clutches as well.
* Only one dominant gene should be purchased for a clutch.[b]Breeding Request Form[/b]

Research Aid
To further our research, we'd like to ask the community to help us in finding certain phenotypes for brief study. If you have a dragon from a breeding that matches any of the descriptions below, we will award you with a special tiny dragon from our research facility.
Desired Phenotypes
- A tiny dragon, light blue with "glittery" scales.
- A gold tiny dragon with dark brown points, and a swirling pattern.
