/reserved: Home The PlaceThe Place is home to Fae and her vast menagerie of children and creatures. Primarily, the place is a large stone manor with dozens of rooms and hidden courtyards. An inn for weary questors to come and relax for awhile, to organize their lives. Behind the inn is a little cottage covered in wild roses and ivy, surrounded by gardens full of a riot of colorful flowers and herbs. This is where Fae and her immediate family actually live. Nice and close to the Place but seperate enough that they can have their privacy. With massive heather surrounding the place, to the west is the coast, a steep cliff leading to the chilly ocean. To the east is a forest rife with undiscovered magic where a band of gypsies often visit and make camp. There is always something happening at the Place, an exciting home for a little boy to grow up in, if somewhat removed from town. Luckily, Fae has an old car which usually works.

RP entry 1
Faewynd hummed to herself as she knelt in the rich soil, her gardening gloved hands plucking the weeds from the new shoots of what would soon be beautiful flowers. Nearby, the precocious little Hassan attempted to help by indiscriminately yanking anything he could get his little hands around out of the ground.
The boy was doing well here, and Faewynd felt a warmth imbue her every time she looked at her adopted son. He still got upset when he was alone, preferring to be held and talked to all of the time, but it was to be expected, abandoned as he had been. She sat up and paused in her gardening, watching the little boy with a smile on her face.
"Na!" Hassan said imperiously, yanking a dandelion from the ground with a grunt. He wasn't talking to the weed, however. He was addressing the tiny little fairy who hovered near his shoulder. Likely, Fae throught to herself, the little Clarice was keeping up a constant diatribe regarding what he should and should not pull up.
Ever since she'd brought him home, he and the small sugar fairy had been inseperable. Boon companions from the start. Given the fact that Clarice loved sweets as much as Hassan, and also insisted that the little boy tasted distinctly like mint candy. For his part, the child was enchanted by the little fluttering creature and good naturedly put up with her tendency towards bossiness. It had certainly saved Fae a lot of sleepless nights... Hassan curled up with a plushie, Clarice curled up in a hanging lamp that had been converted, a la Peter Pan, to a little bed for her, above his head. The nightmares the child had been suffering when he'd first arrived were slowly abating.
Standing, Fae took off the dirty gloves and brushed the worst of the dirt off her pants. "Hassan, sugar, time to go inside and make dinner!" She called to the little boy.
Hassan knew the word dinner well, and his eyes lit up. "Meh!" He said loudly, tottering towards her as fast as his little legs would take him, the buzzing fairy hovering protectively about his head as if she could do something if he took a tumble. Fae smiled and took her son's hand, the happy family heading into the house for a meal.

RP entry 2
Hassan clung to Fae's back like a little koala, his face smeared brown and a partially eaten chocolate bunny clutched tightly in one of his little fists. He babbled a constant cheerful stream that was only half coherent between mouthfuls of candy.
It had been a good day. Hassan's first easter... and his first real outing since he'd come to live with her. He'd been social, even made a friend or two. Smiling, she set his easter basket filled with brightly colored eggs and marshmallow peeps on the dining room table. "Whaddya say, little man?" She asked, swinging him down to sit on the table as well.
Hassan grinned at her, licking chocolate from his lips. "Can every day be easter?" He asked. She'd been suprised when he'd gone from his monosyllabic grunts to actually speaking in remarkably fully formed sentences. However, it seemed to be something that he wasn't inclined to do unless he had something important to say. Like asking about easter.
Fae smiled at her son and ruffled his hair. "Every day can be easter if you want it to be, baby." She was rewarded with his smile, even as she wondered what would happen to all the eggs she was going to have to color.

Event!: Sweetheart on a Sugar High
Hassan is having a rough day. He keeps wanting sweets, however no matter what you get him it isn't exactly what he wants! If denied anymore sweets he starts to cry or just glare at you.
After a while he quiets and seems to go into a deep concentration and suddenly a giftbox appears! Delighted he tears at it opening it, but finding it empty. Displeased he repeats the act at least nineteen more times before the last box has a cookie of some sort in it! Soon after consuming his treat he seems rather sleepy

((OOC note: sorry about the delay in response. Finals.)) RP entry 4 It started out as a bad day. Hassan was just cranky... and nothing Faewynd tried seemed to do anything to cheer up the normally happy and burbling child. He was given to fits of crying and fussing and even his little fairy Clarice was at a loss.
He had tried to climb onto the counter to get to the cookie jar... and with the help of the cats had actually made his way up there. But the cookie jar, full as usual, contained nothing the little boy wanted and in a fit of frustration he shoved the whole thing off the counter, shattering the porcelain and barely missing hitting the cats.
At her wits end, Fae offered him the things he usually liked, unable to stand listening to him cry. But he didn't want peanut butter cups or hardboiled eggs. He wanted nothing to do with peppermint sticks or chocolate bunnies leftover from his easter basket. Fruit, berries, ice cream and taffy... even graham crackers covered liberally in butter and honey held no interest for him.
"Hassan... whats wrong?" Fae picked up the fussy child but he squirmed out of her arms and off the couch, sitting on the floor and glaring at her with a frustrated, tear-streaked face. She sighed and shook her head... the whole parenting thing was far more complicated than she'd thought it would be. Especially since Hassan had never really acted out like this before.
For his own part, he'd stopped glaring at his adopted mother and seemed to have turned his gaze inwards, an almost constipated expression on his face. Fae watched him puzzled.. the boy was potty-trained, after all. After several moments Fae let out a shout of suprise as a brightly wrapped box appeared on the floor in front of the little boy. With a gurgle of triumph, he ripped opened the magical present... only to find it empty. The following wail of despair sent every animal in the Place running for cover.
Hassan, however, now apparently more angry than ever, screwed up his face and after a moment, another box appeared. This one was also empty. Fae watched with rapt amazement as her son repeated the ritual over and over, until the floor was littered with empty boxes and brightly colored wrapping paper. Finally, after what seemed like forever, Hassan tore open yet another box and bugled his joy. Inside the box was a perfect little gingerbread man, complete with blond frosting hair streaked with red and green.
Muttering happily to himself, Hassan devoured the cookie with an air of supreme contentment. After there was not so much as a crumb left, he crawled back onto the couch and curled himself up in Faewynd's lap. Thumb comfortably in his mouth, he was once again the sweet little boy she remembered. None of his previous aggravation remained. Snuggling close, the little boy's eyes eventually closed and his breathing deepened as he fell asleep.
Fae just looked down at the little boy, and then at the living room which was full of trash. "Oh dear..." She murmurred to herself, stroking her son's soft hair. "Hassan....what on earth have you done?" Yet even as she lamented, a small, proud smile curved her lips at her baby's accomplishment.

Growth!:
There was a precious second or so of silence and contentment in the air. Hassan was happy and felt as if he had accomplished something quite impressive. Except now that he gotten what he wanted it was as if there was a bit of discomfort rolling deep in his little belly.
He squirms, he wiggles he moves, and finally he crawls back to the floor and just curls up there. Anyone that touches or comes near him his greeted with a pain-filled squeal until everyone just steps back.
Suddenly there is a bright flash of light.
Laying sprawled on the floor was a child instead of a loving toddler. He panted for a moment before sitting up.
Everything looked different and he felt disoriented, a few moments sitting up he wobbled and suddenly was flat on his back again.
Hassan'll have issues walking and readjusting to his enviroment now that he's bigger... It shouldn't take long though!

RP entry 5
Fae stared at the boy on the floor, and he stared back with his vivid green eyes. After a moment, he tried to rise to his feet and then wobbled, falling onto the carpet. He opened his mouth to cry and then appeared to change his mind. Instead, he screwed up his face and summoned another brightly wrapped gift box. Viola, he managed to get it right on the very first try. Beginners luck most likely... but the petit fours inside certainly cheered him up.
Fae shook her head as she stared at the little boy and smiled. "Do you feel okay, Hassan? Are you alright?"
"Mmgoodm'm" He swallowed, wiping crumbs from his face and grinned. "M' big now!" He raised a hand, his sugar-fairy perching on his palm and staring at him in perplexion. Over all, the boy certainly seemed to be taking things well.
Grinning back, Fae crawled onto the floor and hugged Hassan, half-dragging him into her lap. "I'm glad, honey. Hey... how about sharing some of that cake?"
