Just as the title says - 10th division!
What you need: A zanpakutou.
Concerning bankai:
You, when first coming here, cannot have bankai. o: However! There are ways you can get it. Just be active in the guild, be kind, etc.
If I see you doing these things, I will give you permission to edit your post and give you bankai. <3~

Mine:
Name: Ketsurui
Looks like: Splits into 2 swords: One I hold at an odd angle that serves as a defense. It's a normal looking blade, with a brown leather hilt and a silver broadsword type blade. The other wraps itself around my arm, a little bit like Ed's automail sword or Soi Fong's zanpakutou. It's silver with a purple gem.
Ability: The first one - as long as an enemy hits it - will freeze the enemy as long as their sword is connected. The other sword is coated with a lethal poison that can be injected with a graze on a cheek.
Bankai: Ketsurui Akenokoru (nickname Kotsu)
Looks like: One blade, at first silver, though after the first ability is used it turns purple. The hilt is golden with intricate designs.
Ability: First, the blade disappears. The blade turns into energy which is transfered into your body, enhancing your physical skills. It also makes you almost unable to die, except for a moveable spot on your body. Then, when this happens, a new purple blade appears. This will transform into a giant purple tiger, which is very effective for attacking a group. The tiger can be used for periods of 30 minutes, and then you must rest 10 minutes.

Appearance: The blade is smooth and made of a black rock, obsidian. The hilt is made of polished cherrywood and is wrapped in a pale blue ribbon.
Ability: If the blade punctures and enemy's flesh, the obsidian causes that area of their body to be temporarily paralized, though it usually lasts for less that a minute. If it hits a vein, however, the cut will spread down the length of said vein, causing even more damage. Obsidian is said to be nearly five times sharper than steel, and capable of producing much cleaner cuts.

apppearance : a black daikatana (long sword, longer then a normal katana). it's hilt is made of ironwood and has the kanji of it's name engraved on it.
abilities : if an enemy is to gaze apon it's name they are instantly paralyzed. when unsheathed the blade creates an area of complete darkness, that no form of light can penetrate. during this darkness the wielder can see through it as if it's normal light, while the oponent is completely disoriented,and completely defensless.
bankai : *is in the process of learning to unleash and control the blade.*

appearance:
before shikai: It's a normal katana, the hilt is like most other zanpakuto, but the hilt's design has three slash marks on each little side to the part of the hilk where you grasp it.
after shikai: My sword is now gauntlet like things, with the "claw-like" swords(like wolverine style). The gauntlet like part is black, with the white three slash marks on the front of it.
abilities: (I believe every zanpakuto has two attack type of deals, right?)
Stretch, Nekomimi- The claw-like swords retract, often catching the enemy off guard, then retratch, growing longer as soon as the enemy is close range, it makes a loud hissing noise when it strikes.
Kizuno NekoGufuu- I launch myself at the enemy(hands out stretched, zanpakuto pointed at the enemy), and begin to whirl, causing a high pitch wailing noise to distract the enemy, disabling them to move. I think you all know what happens, if I launched myself at them.
bankai: *none right now*
positive attributes: Good for close range battle, not too flashy, usually never fails to atleast strike.
negative attributes: Close range only, except for KizunoNeko Gufuu; low death rate, bad against other zanpakuto.

Name: Ryuujin
Appears as a normal katana except the dragon that forms up and over the handle creating a rather exqusite hand guard.
When released the dragon spreads farther down the sword allowing you to throw it wherever you wish and it will return to you. Allows for opponents to think they've gained the upper hand until they are stabbed in the back. The swords second attack when released is that when turned the sword fans out causing twice as much damage.

Name of Soul Slayer: Shichiyouhatsu
Appearence: Invisable until the hilt (so I don't get stabbed 5 times a day).
It has a curved tip, even if you can't see it (sorta like Kira's... I think...). The hilt has a blue-turquoise circular pattern on it. On the front side, it has a black gem, and on the other, it has a white gem.
It absorbs light sorces within a mile radius . The sword maintains its invisablity but bends into a circular shape. The light is absourbed. It then blinds the enemy, to disable them, and then it is released at the foe.
Bankai: I'm just writing this down so I don't forget the name... Tsukikuwashii.

Name of zanpakoutou: TsumetaiHana
Shikai: TsumetaiHana
Ability: Can manipulate water. (sprays water too. xD)
Appearance: Hilt is decorated with criss-cross blue threads and on the end, there is a blue ribbon tied onto it and two tear-shaped water droplets on it.
The blade is very plain and like most zanpakoutou, it is long and thin.
Bankai: --
Not found yet. Almost there though!
*edit* The name of the zanpakoutou.

Name:Kaitei Kyohaku
Appearence: A blue tinted blade, the hilt is made of sturdy ironwood and has a chain leading out of the hilt with a armguard easiliy attachable. The blade itself follows Masamune's work with a wave shaped pattern running down the length of the blade. The guard is crafted of high quality silver and has it's name ingraved on it.
Abilities: Whenever the blade strikes after it has been drawn, it will absorb a fraction of water from the reciever of the attack, making the blade stronger and dehydrating the reciever.
Bankai: Rumor has it that he has reached Bankai but that is yet to be confirmed.

Zanpakto: Raikiri (lightning edge) (ye i watch anruto as well)
Appearance: Normally a sapphire blade, the hilt would be blood red and the HILT wud b curved so it goes around me (makes it easier to block wit). The crossguard is a blood red pentacle. and the hilt is can be snapped in half wit a store of oreos inside if i ever get peckish during a fight..
Abilites: Fear; the blood red penatacle will glow. anyone seeing this will start imagining devils, demon, wolves, vampires, etc attacking in their hundreds..this leabes the opponent open and i can stab the guy/girl absorb his energy and come outta da battle full of energy
Bankai: uh..am i allowed to have bankai even tho im no officer?

Soul Slayer: Namizuki
Appearance: A pure black blade, the hilt is a pure pristine white with saphire stones going down the hilt. The hilt would also be curved at the bottom, similar to a cane, so i can slide my hand down and rotate my zanpakutou easily and block.
Abilities: Able to use the power of wind. Can make wind turn into powerful ice needles to attack from afar. Wind can also turn into a shield.

Zanpakoutou name: Kage no Washi (shadow eagle, if I'm correct)
Appearance: Looks like a normal katana. The tip of the hilt has an eagle carving and the guard looks like an eagle flapping its wings in a circle shape. The sheath is black and the hilt is black and gold. (Don't know if that made sense... sweatdrop )
Abilities: The user can manipulate the shadows. It can also form wings to shield the weilder under attack.
arrow Silent Storm: forms a cyclone that attacks you from behind
arrow Dark Edge: forms an eagle claw that can slice the opponent
Weakness: Light
Bankai: N/A
Do you guys think that my Soul Slayer sounds lame? sweatdrop

Souten ni Zase o.o... if theres still room...
Name: hitenshouku
Apperance: in its dormant form, it is a normal Kanata. The hand guard is a circle around the end of the hilt, with four spokes connecting in it. inside the four spokes there is another spoke going down the length of the triangle created. The hilts 'wrapping' is faded blue and orange.
Shikai/Abilities: When "Soar, Hitenshouku" is called, it turns into a large battle axe that is weightless to the user, but quite heavy to anyone else. Three blades of wind form around the axe as it is brought down, if from a high place such as jumping high up to attack.
No bankai as of yet. Hyorinmaru!
