Hmm... there's this really old superstition in my country about dreaming about your teeth. If you dream about losing your teeth, then somebody's going to die.
I've had that dream before and it came true two weeks later. And I'm having that dream again recently. Damn death predictions.
Discuss: The possibility of preventing that death prediction Superstitions you believe in/ don't believe in Whatever else fits this topic How I'm such a lousy topic-maker And please tell me that was just a fluke

I'm not really sure if I believe too much in superstition... But I do think it's an interesting topic. I havn't really had any superstitious things happen to me so I suppose It's hard to believe in... But I'm sure it's real in some ways.

i'm not a very superstitious person, mostly because i wasn't raised around much superstition. the only thing close to superstition/religion is Karma, and she's like, my least-favorite-best-friend. one of those people that you love when they loev you, but you want to stop knowing when you screw up.

Some superstitions are scientifically proven though. Like that superstition about when a cat licks its fur it means it's going to rain. They say it's true because when it's going to rain, a lot of moisture gets stuck on the cat's fur. So, it cleans itself.

i've never heard that one. but wouldn't a cat also lick its fur because the fur is, say, dirty?

I have a hard time believeing is superstitions. Most of them sound more like wishful thinking.
I have a really hard time believeing the cat one. Cats lick themseves all the time to clean themselves, to the point where somewhere close to anyone, a cat is licking themselves right now. I saw one lick itself last night and it hasn't rained.
I might believe that they lick themselves a little more frequently before it rains, but that's about it.

That's because I live in a different country... sweatdrop
For us, those damn black cats, horseshoes and four leaf clovers don't apply. We do have stuff like turning your clothes inside out if you're lost.

I've had the whole teeth dream thing at least three times. sweatdrop Hmm...from a dream book I have,it says seeing all your teeth drop out, death and famine will usually prevail. So I believe somewhat, maybe some other people I wasnt so close to died and I didnt think about the dream....the meaning of it never really absorbed in my mind as to where I could think of it on the spot.
