Why am I doing a quest even though I already have one? Because these kids are so awesome and I really like insects. Though now I changed my mind for something different. Its still jointed and not exactly called 'cute' by everyone, thought.

*better reason coming soon <.<*

Variegated Meadowhawk
Scientific name: Sympetrum corruptum
Unique features: Paddle like wings, large global compound eyes,
Physical description: Mature males are generally orange-reddish, with grey eyes, a row of pale spots along the side of abdomen, with the leading edge of each wing tinged red-orange. The thorax of immature males have two white stripes that end in two yellow dots. As the Variegated Meadowhawk matures, these white stripes fade away leaving only two yellow dots behind
Behaviour: The Variegated Meadowhawk is one of the few dragonflies that migrates. While migrating, the Variegated Meadowhawk appears to navigate via the sun and flies in a fixed direction, staying close to the ground (within about three metres) and flying over rather than around any obstacle.

They tend to be one of the more skittish species of dragonflies, not letting you approach very closely before they flit upwards and fly a good distance away to another perch.
Distribution: Widespread dragonfly of the United States, especially the western two-thirds of the country. They have a long flight season and can even be encountered in the winter in the south.
Habitat: water near grasslands, grasslands, all slow waters inc. brackish, larval habitat is ponds
Food: Like other dragonflies, are primarily opportunistic predators, and will eat anything it can catch and consume. As adults, this includes things like midges, flies, other dragonflies, and yes, even mosquitoes.
Predators: Spiders, birds, any insect eating animals,
Intersting Facts:
-Hold wings forward when at rest
-Dragonflies are beautifully adapted for flight, having powerful flight muscles and wings that move independently. They are incredibly agile and manoeuvrable and are able to hover, fly forwards, backwards, sideways and to rapidly change the direction and speed of flight. Has some of the best control for any flying animal
-In spite of their delicate appearance, the wings are remarkably strong, which is a tribute to the weight/strength characteristics of the tiny tubes, called veins, that reinforce the dragonfly wing. Dragonflies can do everything a helicopter can do, and much more quickly. They hover, fly backward, do loops, barrel rolls, and execute very tight turns. A hovering dragonfly can accelerate to top speed in a fraction of a second.
-Glides when not manuvering in the air
-Dragonflies are the world's fastest insects, capable of reaching speeds of up to 60 mph.
-Dragonflies have very good eyesight due to their unique eye structure. Dragonflies have up to 30,000 facets to their compound eyes; each one is a separate light-sensing organ or ommatidium, arranged to give nearly a 360 field of vision. Dragonflies are visual hunters and have impressive vision being able to see in colour as well as ultraviolet light and polarised light, which enables them to see reflections of light on water.
-It was recently discovered that dragonflies employ a particular optical illusion, termed motion camouflage, to stalk other insects that invade their territory. A dragonfly can move in such a way as to project itself as a stationary object while speedily attacking its victims, new research suggests. These findings illustrate for the first time how dragonflies use complex camouflaging techniques during aerial combat.
-Although most temperate dragonflies are active only when ambient temperature is above about 50 degrees F., they have the ability to regulate their internal temperature within a narrow range. Also, by "whirring" (vibrating) their wings for a few moments, they can raise the temperature of their flight muscles enough to fly.

Why such a specific dragonfly?
So anyone else who wants a dragonfly can still get one.

Can you do a plushie version of my child's dragon?
Yes I can, its no problem. I said any character of yours right?

Would having two people in one pic be double the price?
It depends on the size. Small ones would be aorund 50k rather then 60k. Just ask me about it for more details. I base the price by how many hours i'll have to put into it.

Why did you change your quest?
Sciz needs a female in the house, reallly o.o;

Unique features: sail back, long cone teeth, long tail, long forearms for a theropd, narrow crocodile like snout, one enlarged hook-like claw on each of its front limbs,
Physical description: Spinosaurus was the longest theropod, measuring 16 to 18 metres (52 to 60 feet) long and standing at 5 to 6 metres (16 to 20 feet) in height. Spinosaurus reached weights up to 9 tons, although further comparisons with related species suggest that adults might have reached sizes up to 20 tons and 21 m (70 ft) in length.

The distinctive spines of these animals (large bones extending from the vertebrae) grew up to 2 m long and were likely to have had skin stretching between them, forming a sail-like structure.

American Lobster
Scientific name: Homarus americanus
Alternate common names: Northern Lobster, Maine Lobster.
Unique features: large unequal claws, fanned tail
Physical description: The American lobster is a large crustacean with two large, unequal sized claws used for feeding. Swimmerets line the underside of the tail, which fan water around the burrow and help oxygenate water going to the gills. The gender of an American lobster is determined by examining the first pair of swimmerets behind the last pair of walking legs. In females, this pair of swimmerets is soft and feathery, while in the males they are larger and more rigid. The tail of the female is much broader for carrying eggs.

Live American lobsters are usually olive green or greenish brown, though dusky orange and even bright blue lobsters are sometimes found. Diet, heredity, and exposure to light all affect a lobster's color. The major pigment in a lobster's shell, astaxanthin, is actually bright red in its free state; but in the lobster's shell astaxanthin is chemically bound to proteins that change it to a greenish or bluish color.
Behaviour: Their cutting claw has sharp teeth used for tearing prey into smaller pieces, while the heavy crushing claw is used to break the shells of mollusks. Smaller claws on the first two pairs of legs are used to direct food into the mouth and to sift through the mud. The last two pairs of legs are used for walking. Although American lobsters walk rather than swim, they can quickly escape a predator with a flap of the tail, scuttling backward with a quick burst of speed. They are aggressive when fighting over territories and can inflict a painful pinch if aggravated. American lobsters are nocturnal and have highly developed sense organs on their legs to detect food in the absence of light.
Distribution: Canadian waters to South Carolina, Alantic coast.
Habitat: Along rocky ledges in shallow near-shore waters of the Bay. Larger lobsters are found in deeper offshore waters.
Food:American lobsters are scavengers as well as predators, eating just about anything they can find along the bottom of the ocean, including fish, small crustaceans, and mollusks. They are cannibalistic as well and have been known to devour other American lobsters in lobster traps.
Predators: humans, codfish, but other enemies include haddock, flounder, and other lobsters
Intersting Facts:
-Lobsters are able to detach and discard legs or claws by a process called autotonomy. This "self-amputation" can help a lobster to escape a predator's grasp. A lobster may also detach a claw if it is unable to withdraw from its old shell during molting. Autotomized limbs can be regenerated. After the next molt they appear fully formed but smaller than usual, and after sever molts they are full sized.
-Lobsters have two bladders.
-They also have two stomachs.
-While lobsters are generally a olive green-blue color, sometimes the protein, called astaxanthin, has a subunit that causes bizzare colorations that you would think unnatural such as completely blue or yellow, literally half one color and half another, albino, or maybe just a motled color. These photos are some examples: [x] [x]
-It is hard to find the exact age of a lobster since they molt so often, but they commonly live up to 50. It is thought that they can live up to 100.
-They commonly range from 20 cm to 60 cm in length and 0.5 kg to 4 kg in weight, but have been known to reach lengths of well over 1 meter and weigh as much as 20 kg or more, making this the heaviest marine crustacean in the world.
-Lobsters have no teeth, or really its teeth are in its stomach.
-A lobsters brain is the same size of a grasshopper's brain. Scientists now believe that lobsters do very little thinking and feel almost no pain.
-Lobsters are capable of reflux amputation. If a lobster fears for his life or has an injured limb or claw, it is able to shed the limb and regenerate the body part.
-Lobster blood is colorless but becomes blue when exposed to oxygen.
-They taste with their feet just like insects such as the butterfly. Actually they have several taste and smell receptors on their legs and claws aswell as their antenna.
