cute >w< its turniment leagel tho? i'm a bit foggie on the rules for wich sleaves can be used.

any sleeves can be used, as long as all the sleeves are exactly the same (aka you cant have one sleave thats yellow, while the other one is blue) cuase if so it be marked cards, but yeah as long as the sleeves cant mark cards then i think their legal (dont take that full to heart from me, thats just how i remember being told)

found this on upperdecks site....
Quote:

Card Sleeves
Duellists may use plastic card sleeves or other protective devices on cards. If a Duellist chooses to use card sleeves, all cards in the Duellist's current deck must be placed in the sleeves in an identical manner. If the sleeves feature holograms or other similar markings, cards must be inserted into the sleeves so these markings appear only on the face of the cards.

I use Player's Choice sleeves. I bought one of those holographic sleeves and they hurt my eyes if I look at them too long xd One thing about regional and national tournements though they do not allow double sleeved cards so keep that in mind when you go to such an event.

yeah, i'v been looking up info about them and there is a lot of difrint rules for them from a lot of difrint places XD. Most of them are along the lines of

No home made sleaves
All sleaves must look identical
No beat up sleaves
and No dubble sleaveing

but yeah, i wish UDE whould just make an officel set of rules for the sleaves so everyone had the same and everyone knew them >.<

At regionals you cannot use sleves that have a halographic fronts (the side you view your card on. The deck side up part doesn't matter in this case).

UDE Official Tournament Policy - #13
Card Sleeves
All types of card sleeves are permitted in tournaments, with the following
exceptions:
• All of the sleeves on the deck must be identical in every way.
• The sleeves must not obstruct the view of the card face in any way.
• Each card may only be in one sleeve. (Cards may not be double-sleeved.)
If a player chooses to use card sleeves, the sleeves must be from the same
manufacturer, be the same color, have the same length, and have the same amount of
wear. Players should replace sleeves frequently to avoid worn or marked sleeves.
Large plastic top-loading card protectors may not be used in tournaments, as they
disrupt the flow of play.
Before sleeving their cards, players should always shuffle both their deck and the
pack of card sleeves. This will help prevent noticeable marking patterns in the event
that the sleeves have any kind of factory markings.
All sleeves must be in clean condition and be unmarked. A card sleeve is considered
an extension of the card. If a sleeve is marked, the whole card will be considered
marked, which will result in a tournament penalty.

i've been to a few tournaments where they will make you take your sleeves off your deck if the backs of the sleeves are too reflective because some people will lift the cards up just enough to see the reflection and cheat in some way(such as with reversal quiz)

Some TOs tend to add their own rules when it comes to card sleeves.
That rule is used in Unity Entertainment's(the thing that does most of the sanctioned events in the US's Southeast region) tournaments as well, so yeah that rule is familiar to me.

What I don't get is why.
Touching the top card of your deck in such a way counts as drawing extra cards anyway.
An minor offense punishable by a game loss.
