Yeah. It is very dark.
I remember reading somewhere that people who bought King Kong for the 360 and played it on a standard television (as opposed to a HDTV) found it very dark... Maybe Oblivion is brighter on a HDTV?
Unless you're talking about the PC version and, in that case, no comment. I play onthe 360.
I'm amused by the amount of glitches. It's not a problem, really... 'cept for the glitches that don't let you finish a quest... more of an amusement. Like the item duplication thing people have found.
You'd have thought they'd have fixed stuff like this in the extra time but... gods know what we'd have gotten if they'd released it when they said they were going to. lol

I'm finding myself getting addicted to the Starlight spell I purchased at someone's discount spells in the Imperial City...

You all must be havin some issues...
Fuggen I just bought mine, The XBOX itself and morrowind, playing on the Core system (I had to buy a Harddrive.)
It's lightning effects and s**t are perfect. Maybe you all need some better equipment. I dunno. I'm playing on a TV I've had since like 1st Grade. @_@
Things I'm not impressed with: Dorian Glitch. The Lockpicking system majorly...I think it blows.
I've hit it just right and it still says I failed.

On the western side of the small island, down in the water by some rocks, there is a glass helmet right beside a skeleton. It gives you constant night eye and detect creatures.

Not being able to leap over vast sections of the map in a single bound pisses me off. I really like being able to do that in Morrowind.

You got me started now. Things that I don't like:
-no levatate spell -no mark/recall spell -staffs are no longer blunt weapons, instead they are projectiles -no unarmoured skill -no more picking up candles and lanterns -too short -not nearly as many armour/weapon sets as in morrowind -"invisible walls" -lame soul gems without enough charge -no lock spell -The map marker makes the game too easy -way to difficult to decorate a home -can't drop gold -if you don't clear your cashe on the 360 it lags horribly -Constant crashes and major quest bugs that made me restart my file 3 times now -no beards, what's a nord without a beard? -no more throwing stars
Things I do like:
-Beast races can now wear helmets are boots -The purdy graphics -Horses -New combat system -Did I mention it looks beautifull?
I know i'm forgeting alot but thanks for hearing my ranting!
P.S. I'm playing on a 22 year old TV and I can see the game just fine.

Most of you guys probably aren't aware, but there were a lot of things that were lost in Daggerfall from Arena, and a lot of things lost from Daggerfall to Morrowind. Daggerfall is still my favourite game of all time, because it's so fast-paced (although it is hideously bugged and basically quite boring. It's got replayability, what can I say?)
To be fair, it is (barely) explained in the game that reforms of the Mages Guild have led to the banning of certain spells. I'm sure that as technology progresses, the next game will combine the best elements of all the series.
I'd like to see them do a space-based RPG. Oblivion could be 'easily' modded for space colonies, spaceships, and vast barren terrains in outer space.

Its alright i havent experienced any glitches yet only the good ones the only bad thing is that sometimes it lags and freezes up i havent played the other games but i like it just the way it is and if there were more weapons that would be nice someone said morrowind had a spear i wish they had it on the obilivian.
