Which actors do you think display the best charater for each of the Slayers people? Tell why you chose them and which ones you like more than the others, such as "I prefer the Japanese voice actor for Lina compared to either English one because I find she suits Lina's petite voice best. And she does awsome openings for the series ^^"

I prefere the japanese voice actors for the whole series because I can't stand to hear the horrid voice overs of the english version..... I mean yeah it's great that they did that but the voices scare me to death! So much so that I can't bare to watch a single episode in english! D:
Zelgadis's english voice actor is probably the only one with whom I can bare. Other than that I think that the rest are horrible. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. 3nodding

Yeah when I heard David Moo's voice for Xellos I was scarred for life... x.x I don't think I can ever come back... Ok maybe I can cuz I'm just a kick a** mazoku like that... >D

Ummm....Well...in the english version, I perfered her first voice actor's voice...it just fit her so much better, it made her sound young. I really like when Lisa Ortiz does Lina, I think it fits her sarcasm. But I do admit Megumi does do an awesome job at her voice. I also think the englsih voice actor for Gourry...makes him seem dense and dumb. So it's perfect. ^.^! And the japanese voice actor for Zel...perfect as well. He can sing! lol.

I haven't seen any of the anime except for the Motion Picture and Premium, but I liked the voices in those well enough 3nodding . I especially love the voice of Zelgadiss, tis my favorite voice actor ever! heart Crispin Freeman heart *drools*

Gourry's voice is perfect in the English version (I think of the voice as Brock from Pokemon and Brock=idiot). I really hate the fact that they don't use consistent voice actors for the English (though they made a change for the better in Amelia's case). Go Megumi!!!

Yes, Gourry's VA and Brock's are one in the same. Amelia's VA also does Ash/Delia Ketchum in Pokemon, too. XD
I prefer it subbed by far, though I can stand the dub until Xelloss starts talking. X_x;
David Moo is in Spiral: Suiri no Kizuna as well...I was so upset when I realized that. ><

I like both, really.
There's only a few things I can't stand:
1:Lisa Ortiz and David Moo should have their vocal cords ripped out e-e
2: it's pronounced GAO-DEE not 'gory', not 'gaorry' nor 'gallry' >< always pisses me off.
Otherwise, I like the english better, just because it seems to have a bit more feeling then the japanese. Same goes for anime such as Saiyuki.

XD I'm right behind ya! DOWN WITH THE MOO! He's the kinda' guy that should only be heard on low budget, crappy shows if any at all! He SO ruined Xellos! And I agree with Kakkai Iruka about the need for Moo's vocal cords to be ripped out! I was actually thinking the same thing! xd Just something funny: a friend of mine once dated a guy who's nickname is Moo xd .

Agreed, down with the "Moo". I always liked the Japanese VAs better than the English VAs, although some of the English voices for Slayers were okay...except for the Moo. >.<
