Some of you may have heard of my predicament.

My brother bought Oblivion, but he wouldn't let me play it.

A few days ago, he finally did.

I spent most of the first day, trying to get into the freaking Thieves Guild. I remembered something about getting thrown in jail, so I did that, stayed there twice, and once actually sucessfully got out, before finding out that nothing happened, and just letting myself get rearrested.

Then I got in using the Beggar Method. Then I did some missions, and now after playing for a few days, have become Master Thief, enjoying every mission along the way.

I'd like to say, that I did this with a character who wears, a Robe of Glib Tongue, A Constant Effect Frost Shield ring, Some other ring, and that's it. He uses Hand to Hand, which is amazingly fun to do. He's got high acrobatics, athletics, yadda yadda yadda.

And sadly, he's a vampire thanks to getting the boots of Jumping, (alright, Springheel!), Jak.

Damn him.

However, it's quite fun to be a vampire.

Also, I'd like to ask, if anyone noticed, that the man's name, Jakben Imble.

Is just Jack Be Nimble.

With accordance to the fact that you're getting boots of SPRINGheel Jak, which make you jump high, you must admit that those people at Bethesda Softworks have quite a sense of humor.

Then I bought a crappy house for 2,000 gold.

TWO THOUSAND GOLD FOR THAT CRAPPY SHACK!

So, just recently I purchased the haunted manor, and am trying to save up gold so I can buy some new spells because all I can use to hurt ghosts currently, is my Flare spell. And the only other spells I have are Command Creature (Power), and Heal Minor Wound.

An update, an update!!

I unhaunted the shack after all that fun stuffs with finding the guy and killing some ghosts.

However, I can only kill the ghosts with magic, and by magic, I mean my one offensive spell, Flare, so after I came back to find many ghosts, I just ran past them.

Then the guy did his magic, and the ghosts disappeared.

However, many of you know what happens next, so I was looking pretty screwed.

However, I could hit this guy, so I hit him, and then spent many minutes hiding behind pillars, and then popping out to cast Flare, and then hiding again.

Then, when he was low on health, I rushed him and hit him with my fists.

He died.

Earlier, I'd contracted vampirism, and now, I'd discovered that at a certain point, people don't want to talk to me anymore.

Therefore, I decided to get rid of it, only to discover that I needed to be in the Mages Guild to get access to the guy that has a cure.

Yay me.

So, I'm trying to get into the Guild, and I've got Two(?) recommendations so far.

And let us not forget, that I gained access to the Ultimate Fence awhile back.

You know, the one that DOESN'T OFFER A BARTER OPTION!

...are you actually saying that you didn't have the sense to wait twenty-four hours for Arano to give you the note? Depending on what town you were arrested in(the courier starts in the Waterfront), it could take anywhere for a few minutes in real-time, to twenty-four hours in-game time. Just wait, and a weird looking Dunmer(the one you framed for the theft when Heironymous invaded the Waterfront) will come up and give you a note that you must present to Cristophe.

And there is a house in every major city. The Skingrad house is the best, but it involves a fame rating of at least 25, 25000 gold, and a number of side-quests.

To tell you the truth, I may have waited for about two hours before getting pissed off about my not being contacted.

I was angry you see, having to break out of prison with a single lockpick, in the Imperial City, then get attacked by the Guard, run outside, avoid the other guards, and then run like hell away, all made me very short tempered.

What did you do, slaughter a town? Just serve the damned time. Then rest for twenty-four hours with the "T" key.

Yeah know, I served my time twice, and was pretty sure I had rested.

However, with no contact coming, and my temper becoming nonexistent, I then broke out.

Which is the hardest thing I've ever had to do.

So much harder than the Ultimate Heist.

And that got me nothing.

So, thinking back to what a friend had said about the Thieves Guild being a "beggar helping Robin Hood knock-off", which had made me mad to hear, I bribed a beggar into liking me, and then got in that way.

Which worked, unlike this whole "get thrown into jail thing" was for me.

When I joined the Thieves's Guild, I also gained Lucien Lachance's interest. I was arrested for murder, so the Dark Brotherhood came to find me.

I bought the haunted house in Anvil -_-

I even saw the portal in the basement before I bought it, but I did it anyways...I cant beat that b*****d though x_x

Oh, and was anyone wearing the Springheel shoes when they fell down the chute after the ultimate heist? Or are you supposed to be wearing them?

It's the only way out of the building I do believe, so you're meant to be wearing them, so that you don't die.

Who's Lucien Lachance?

I've never killed a person, so once I'm done unhaunting my new manor, I'll be doing that.

I have too much stuff I want to keep and nowhere to put it, so I need to unhaunt the manor first.

I got into the Thieve's Guild really easily.

All you have to do is go read a Gray Fox poster (posted in the Imperial City), then "Gray Fox" will show up as a subject to talk to people about. Then you just have to go bribe a beggar and he'll tell you about the Thieves Guild and you can go find the guy at midnight.

You do quests for him in the Dark Brotherhood... or Dark Hand? I think he's the Dark Hand guy. I haven't done that... one thing he told me to do yet. It's too brutal. crying

Too brutal?

What could be too brutal?

Also, I have an update.

Damned Mages.

if you feed on a slleping person you lose all the effects of vampirism execpt for stat boosts and hunters vision you can even go out in the sun and every one will talk to you normally.
