After the death of the dear Albus Dumbledore, Minvera McGonagall took over as headmistress. She's been running the school now for 25 years, and even though previously she was head of house for Gryffindor she still does not show favoritism. She is fair in her punishments no matter the house. Although however she does have a weak spot for Quidditch.
In her office she has various items, it's no where near the same as Dumbledore's once was, but she did keep a few of his things to remind her of him. The sorting hat after the first dinner is placed up in a cubboard, occasionally she takes it down to dust it.
Of course the way of getting to her office is still the same as it was for Dumbledore.

*Jesicka walked up to the enterance, gave the password, and entered. She followed the staircase, and she came to an opened door, she looked in and noticed the Headmistress sitting at her desk. Jesicka knocked on the door and somewhat entered the room.*
"Excuse me, Professor McGonagall. I have a few questions regarding this evenings events."
((it was Hagrid bringing the first years across, and McGonagall meeting the first years, and bringing out the sorting hat. Do you think that we could have a Deputy one? Or can we deal with just one!?))

((I know it was but is Hagrid still here?
Because McGonagall is the headmistress I don't think she'd still be leading the kids up.
Deal with just one Headmistress? Well.. I dunno.))
"Come in..." Replied McGonagall, she had the same tightly pulled back bun as she did when she was a tracher 25 years ago. She smiled at Jessicka the newly appointed Transfiguration's teacher. She knew that she really wanted D.A.T.D.A. but McGonagall was really pressed for finding just the right Teacher for her old job, she'd already gone through about three other teachers, But she was sure about this one.

"I was just wondering about what's going to happen with the first years coming over the lake, and then who's bringing them up to the sorting hat?"

"I was just wondering about what's going to happen with the first years coming over the lake, and then who's bringing them up to the sorting hat?" ((><; Oh hush so I made two mistaaakes... Jesicka is speeelt Jessica. xD Anyways.)) "That's something I have yet to work out... Usually the grounds keeper would, but we're looking for a new one... Things had changed a lot lately. And getting everything in place is pretty hard." She sighed lightly and then looked over at her. "Why is it you ask?"

*She blushed, because she was somewhat nervous of asking to help instead of being asked.*

"Well, if you would like you could do both, that is until we find some one to do another part of it? Sound fair?" To tell the truth McGonagall was very proud of Jesicka for stepping up, they really did need some one to do one of those jobs, and to have her just come right out and ask was helpful. She then smiled at the girl, she missed her old job of introducing the irst years, but she was satisfied(sp?) with her new job however.

"Of course I can do that, they'll be arriving within two hours so I'll get ready and get down to the station. Thank you, Professor."

Christy walked up to hogwarts "i have to go see headmistress" she thought and walked into the castle. She ran up the steps hopping to be on time... She came to the statue said the password and entered. She knocked on the door waiting for a reply.

*Jesicka was turning to leave when there was another knock at the door, she walked over and opened it, there stood an older looking girl, around her late 2o's, Jesicka thought, she smiled and went to let her in and then she was going to leave.*
