"Well... I got ta thinkin': I be needin' a place ta stay. I mean... the inn can't be me 'ome ferever! So I went explorin' around shore."
Ardrick points to the beach and along the shore. Then he trails his fingers across along the shore towards some mountains. His finger rests on the other side of the mountain where an inlet is.
"Ye won't believe what I discovered. I found meself a home! Well... atleast I call it 'ome. I found a beached, wrecked ship. Inside there were no bodies, but there was plenty o' room fer anybody ta live in. I fixed it up a bit, but didn't say nuthin' 'cause I wanted it ta be a surprise fer ye all. The ship turns out ta be Captain Rudd's ol' ship from a 'undred years ago. He must've been killed by them natives. Anyways, I found 'is name on the captain's quarters' door. But I took it off, cause now its mine 'ome!"

It was night and Ardrick had finally returned. In the back of his mind he planned his grand return to town the next morning. For now though, he must clean his abandoned home and sleep. On second thought, maybe he'd make his grand entrance tomorrow afternoon instead. Either way, he had work to do. The lantern he had lit showed the many webs and dust covering his house. This was normal.
"As good as the day I left it!"
He laughed to himself. He was joking of course, but really things didn't need to be too clean for him to sleep there tonight. A simple broom waved through the air to catch the webs and a shaking out of his sheets and he was ready for sleep. Something kept him awake though... had he really done the right thing by stranding his men on an island and selling his ship? Laughing, he decided, of course he had. An entire crew would easily survive on the island and the money from the ship gave him enough funds to get back to Provoka and help rebuild the island. Even better, now he could focus on his own fun rather than taking care of a crew. He sort of liked not being a captain anymore. Less responsibility. Then he slept soundly.
