When I first heard about Kingdom Hearts, way back when the agreement was first made between (what was) SquareSoft and Disney, I quite frankly was like "What the hell are they on? Final Fantasy characteres with Disney ones...that just isn't right." But they somehow managed to pull it off, and now I have an unhealthy obsession with both Riku and Axel. xd
On a side note, I'm one of those people that can't stand Kairi. sweatdrop
But anyway, though I haven't finished the second one yet since I've been so busy/sick, I so far like the first one somewhat better, simply because the entire thing wasn't so insanely easy, thoough I do like some of the new battle features in KH2.

I'm gonna have to disagree with that, because, well...
If you're looking for a game with plot and development of plot, the first game is better, because in KH2 the majority of the game is revisiting world's you've already been, or playing through the plot of the movie. By the third world or so I was pretty bored of the whole "We're Sora...Donald...and Goofy." thing, since it was repeated seemingly ad nausuem to me.
Granted, the fighting system, graphics, and camera are generally improved in the second game, but for me the main draw of the series is the plot (...well, and Riku. But that's another story. xd sweatdrop ) which develops really slowly in the sequel.

I bought it and I cant belive how long the begining was with Roxas! The story line is so much slower then in the first as well.

Yea, I watched my sister play through a part of the Roxas stuff at the beginning (since she got to the PS2 before I did >.<) and then instead of having to play through it myself, I just leeched off of her game when she saved after making the money. sweatdrop Which I normally wouldn't/don't do, but the start of the game was so damn boring/long/etc.

Ehh I couldn't beat the first one because I just got to lazy hehh. My sister wanted to buy the second one though I think so I might start it up

I didn't like the Atlantica level much in the first game, but the whole singing thing was just kinda creepy.

I thought the gameplay in KH2 was much faster and easier than KH1. But I still like the storyline. The only part I hated was Atlantica. confused
