Today I was flipping through the dictionary during World Lit, and I came across a new fun word. And me, being the odd person that I am, loooove words that are strange, fun to say, and make complete sense.

So, what are your favorite "odd" words? And, what do they mean?

This is a chance for us all to broaden our vocabularies, as well as share some words that nobody really knows or uses anymore.

=3 It may just be me being the dork I am, but I think this should be interesting. =D

My current favorite words:

Confabulation :: An informal talking to; a chat

Piebald :: calico-like markings, usually found on cows

Ruderal :: any type of weed that grows in trash

Quaff :: overindulge

Quidnunc :: a busybody

Well, I was bored and when I get bored I think of random words I know... And words that sound cool. One of my favorites?

Widdershins: counterclockwise.

I LOOOOVE that word. For no reason at all. XD

Piebald is more commonly used for horses.

Bayard
Bansai (not the tree)
Ambsace (no longer in dictionaries that I can find, but it is in my old one!)
