Poem of the Week

Welcome to the poem of the week in this forum I will be posting and updating the weekly poems. these poem will be chosen from those who submit them. The prize at the end of the week is 300 gold. Once we get more gaians coming I will upgrade this to 500+ gold

This is also a place to discuss and comment on these poems ^_^

Current Poem

"The Worst Fear"

I've looked deep into a dusty, fear-embedded mirror
A bloody murderer stares back at me with battlewearied eyes
His face wore a mask of thousands of long-lost emotions
Since his own children were stolen by burning eternal lies
Leaving only hatred to be set in motion
A thousand suns have set as I search for something clearer
Than this hollow city of the most precious dreams
When I realize just what he has become
nothing is held sacred anymore, it seems
When the massed burials of depression have begun
A million minds have passed away as I find reasons to see her
As I look at his blue and black insufficient-stained hands
I now know who has been frozen in that time
trapped in his own forbidden lands
But I also know these lands were never mine
