Many years have passed since Sauron was defeated and Middle Earth returned to a state of peace. Most species had started to get on with their lives and live like the war never took place, but, for the Dwarves it was a different matter. Although the Dwarves did return to their normal lives it wasn't long before gobilns came back from Moria's dark depths and brought terror among the Dwarves. After a feirce battle, the Dwarves that remained were enslaved and put to work building houses for the goblins, making them fine weapons and armours and being made to fight each other for entertainment. Most of the Dwarves complied with the Goblins demands because they were scared of being killed. But, a small group of Dwarves have been plotting an escape.
Post and continue the story of the Dwarves.
Also I know that in LOTR that Gimli is the only Dwarf left and the exits to Moria were destroyed but I don't care.

In a meeting by the dwarves they planned to rebel against the goblins, but for this they would need weapons. So, one dwarf each night would go into the nearby forest and gather materials for weapons, The goblins didn't notice, for there were lots of dwarfs.Two months later, in another secret meeting, the dwarves gathered all their wood, metal and other loose bits from the forest together and they started making the swords and shields.The production went well, and soon they had a sword and shield for each dwarf. The escape would soon begin....

After a few weeks of the dwarves planning the goblins became suspicious of an escape and increased security at all exits but one. The one exit guarded by the the watcher in the water. the dwarves are going to have to make a choice. Lose many lives fighting the goblins for a way out, or possibly lose everyones trying to get past the beast.

A group of dwarves decided to go for the exit guarded by the water beast. One night they went away to observe the lake in which it was, and to escape. The lake was calm, you couldn't tell that a beast watcher was under its waters. So, the night of the escape the dwarves started crossing the stepping stones across the lake. If they made it without distrurbing the beast then it would be a miracle, so every dwarf was crossing with their weapons, alert. Suddenly, a huge rumbling throughout the lake sounded. A dwarf fell off his stepping stone, into the lake but did not resurface. Then, the startled dwarves were greated by a huge water creature rising up from the water and jumping over their heads.The creature was like the dwarves had predicted. Like a thing with tenticles. The dwarves beared their shields, ready for the worst, but no one could predict the powers of this thing as it is only recorded in myth. One dwarf threw his sword at the beast, the sword merely hit it then bounced off. After this the next tactic was to stay deadly still. This is what the dwarves now did. The beast was head above the water, staring at the dwarves. With a huge roar, the beast opened its mouth to reveal sharp teeth. The whole bunch of dwarves ran and ran for the other side of the lake, and the beast attacked with its tenticles. This knocked several dwarves off and into the water and about 10 managed to make it to the other side. They were free. The beast could not leave the lake, so it just disappeared to the bed of the lake, taking the fallen dwarves with it. The escaped dwarves caught their breath, and looked ahead. It was a sort of foresty area with overgrown trees and a river. Looked dangerous, the dwarves had to get to a nearby village and get help and stop the evil goblins. The goblins still had qutie a lot of dwarves hostage. So they began their trek across this foresty land unaware of what lies ahead....

After treking through the forest for several hours, the Dwarves decided to rest. They all had something to eat and to drink and lit a fire to keep them warm during the night. The next day after they had set off again, some of the children told their parents that they had seen something moving in the distance but no one was sure of what it was so they increased the speed of thier march. After several hours the dwarves came into a clearing and saw a group of buildings. "We've found civilization!" one of the Dwarves yeld and everyone ran towards the town, but as they got nearer they noticed that many buildings were on fire and that there were bodies all over the place. The Dwarves stopped and looked at the ruins that lay ahead of them. One of them looked around and found some cloth on the floor and looked at it. After studying it for a few seconds he said "This is. . .then that must mean. . ." The Dwarf now loud enough for everyone to hear yelled "This is Rohan!" All the Dwarves gasped and as they did they heard a rumbling behind them. They turned around and. . .
Post what they see. BTW I have no idea how they ened up in Rohan, but who cares? Just continue the story.

Right in front of thief eyes was a stampede of orcs.In horror the dwarves ran into the town of rohan sticking close together. Once in the centre of rohan, they split up. Some hid behind walls,others in houses and in tall grass. They waited for the orcs to come. They came. Lots and lots of orcs.
The orcs stopped near the dwarves and looked around, still. In and out of houses, the orcs looked everywhere for the dwarves. The dwarves had hid so well that they hadn't been found at all. The orcs decided to leave for mount doom, one dwarve heard they were searching for something. The dwarves decided to follow the orcs to mount doom. First it was through the snow covered hills...

After the orcs had left one of the dwarves got up to join the others but stopped as he heard a faint sound. Unsure of what it was he went to investigate. The Dwarf found a barrel behind the house and looked inside it and found Gimli. "Gimli!?" The Dwarf said "What are you doing here?"

Gimli looked shocked at the dwarves because they had found him. Gimli got out of the barrel and explained that he had hid here when the saurons army totally raided rohan. Legolas and Aragorn had fled to the hills to Saurons palace, but Gimli had been too slow and was forced to hide in a barrel. Gimli joined the dwarves and they set off for the mountains in search of legolas and aragorn...
