Personality: Jubei is a true believer in the samurai ethic. He takes his duties quite seriously, and considers his service to those he regards in high esteem as the most important things in his life: his own emotions and preferences are inconsequential in comparison. Although he does care deeply about certain people and sometimes questions where he's going in life, he is often uncomfortable expressing this.

The Kakei clan and the Fuuchouin clan have been allied for 500 years, with the Kakei serving as doctors and bodyguards for the Fuuchouin. When the Fuuchouin main clan was attacked and destroyed, all that Jubei could do was get Kazuki to safety, and he swore as they fled to Mugenjou with Jubei's sister, Sakura, that he would become stronger so that he could protect Kadsuki. He was a member of Kazuki's gang, Fuuga, and followed him into VOLTS as well -- but for an unknown reason, when Kazuki left Mugenjou, Jubei was not able to follow him...

Physician, heir to the Kakei clan legacy; one of MAKUBEX's elite, the New Four Kings. After he was betrayed and abandoned by Kazuki, Jubei continued to live in Mugenjou with his sister, who had chosen to remain in service to MAKUBEX. They are by far his most fervent followers. Jubei is most famous for his needles, which he can either use to pierce unwell blood vessels and heal any wound, or throw with deadly accuracy to kill. However, the secrets of the Kakei clan have evolved to the point where they have other techniques as well, such as using magnetism to control their needles. Jubei's most secret and forbidden technique is the "Kokushin", Black Needle.

I like Jubei he's cool but he's so pathetic sometimes. Like in the hotspring ep when he tries to be funny and failes misbribly. Then he's like 'i shall go and live in the mountains and train.'

Jubei... he's too serious for his own good. He can't even stretch his face to make someone laugh. But he's cute. I have this cd of GB that my friend gave me as a remembrance, there are three parts where there is voice acting between Jubei, Kazuki, and other GB characters as well. In that particular story you defeat people or hurt them by making them laugh, Ginji and Ban also make their appearance (as enemies, who work together with Akabane, unbelievable, I know) Jubei trains to be funny and seeks help from a guy he meets (3 guesses who--Emishi) in the end the two fight because Emishi was an enemy after all. You should have heard Jubei laugh crazily when he gets 'attacked' by Emishi with his technique. Sooo funny! blaugh

Jubei is very loyal to Kazuki and sworn to protect him. Jubei and Kazuki are also good childhood friends.

Yep..Shido said that to Hevn while in the IL saga, that Kazuki must be careful because Jubei is strong but Kazuki and Jubei know each other so much it's really a match.

after that Kazuki took care of Jubei and even bring him in hotsprings and hospital to cure him.
