The area surrounding Taisen highschool is known simply as The Slums. This was once the place where criminals and gangs reigned supreme, a lawless zone where no one was safe. Until Ronin cleaned the place up, of course. However, things are starting to heat up again, despite Reno and his crew cracking down and conquering the place...

*hands in pocket he walks through the slums* I don't get it people say this is the worst place to walk but i see nothing wrong with it *stops and looks around then sees a thin cat and her even thiner kittens he goes to them pulls out his lunch and gives it to tell cats happly wachting them eat* "I think i'll take you guys home. After all Niko could use a few presents." beside this place being trashed and useless nothing seems dangerous

A pitiful mewing came from on small kitten, it was a calico, and its paws were white. A little white dot marked its pink nose. It looked up with wide eyes at Sam and mewed pitifully again.
"Mew? Nina?" Called a gentle voice. The little cat turned around and bounded back toward the girl who just turned the corner. It looked like Kat, only she was no longer scowling and there were black cat ears on her head, one up another to the side.
As soon as Kat saw Sam her voilet eyes grew wide and she went dead pale. She murmered smething and the ears popped out of sight like they were never there. "What are you doing to those kittens?" She cried accusingly, crouching to pick up the little kitten, Nina Kat had named her. It was cold and Kat held the shivering kitten in her coat by her chest.

"Feeding them. and makeing sure they don't get hurt what else would i be doing?" *he picked up a pitch black kitten and let it eat a rice ball from his hands* "oh yeah and, Kat is it?" *he said pionting to where her cat ears were but still not looking at her* "you can put them back i won't tell anyone. You don't have to be afraid to show them to me." *he looked at all the kittens* "and with your premission i'd like to take one of these babies home."

Kat's nose wrinkled. Somehow, that boy seemed sincere. "Huh, well, just don't hurt them. Or ever touch Nina." She threatened with a glare. "She's mine."
The little kitten in the front of her jacket mewed, looking like it grinned.

Kana blinked, had he smiled? She shook it off. Now to go and get milk and food for this little one. And the other two twining around her feet.
"No, I'm sorry..." She sighed, talking to the cats. They mewed. "I have a small apartment-" She was cut off by more pitiful mews. She sighed, faint black cat ears could be seen off to the sides on her head. "Yes, you told me... wait, she's where?" Kat tilted her head with intrest, listening to the mews of the 3 cats. She gave a nod and ran off into an alley.

*looks at kat running in the alley then at the three cats that where talking to her he stands up has the cats look at him stupidly* "Well you going to show me where she is going or should i just leave?" *he asked the cats lead him down the alley to where Kat had gone off to he saw kat at the end of an Alleyway but she was to far for him to see what she was doing* "Hey kat you in a hurry or something???"

Kat was kneeling, haunched over, a muddy shape cradled in her arms. She looked down on the dying mother cat with imensly sad eyes. The kittens around her mewed. With tear filled eyes she looked to them.
"I'm sorry guys, she's to sick. I can't help her."
The kittens sat around Kat then twined around her legs as she stood, still holding the sick mother cat. Kat's teary eyes grew wide as she saw Sam there. She fixed him with a glare.
Kana turned back to the kittens. "I'll try, I promise." She told them and ran out, pushing past Sam.

Kat stopped with the touch on her shoulder. She turned, tearfuled but doubtful violet eyes settled on Sam's face. The mother cat in her arms gave a pitiful weak cry. The little kittens around her set out a sort of whimper.
She couldn't let them down. She'd promised. How could she break a promise to her kind? Her proudly held shoulders slumped. "Fine," She gave in. "Take me to your sister..." Kat cradled the muddy grey tabby close to her chest.

*The by-now familiar roar of Reno's motorcycle could be heard approaching from just down the street. Skidding to a stop, he stares down into the ally.* "Hey. I hate to ruin your moment, but something huge is about to go down." *He sits up, and crosses his arms.* "I heard through the grapevine that the Heavens Corporation in planning to attack Fatima at any moment." *He revs the engine a little, and shakes his head.* "Normally, I wouldn't care, but there's someone that I have a score to settle with..." *He spins the back tire, causing the bike to 180.* "Sorry, but the cat's gonna have to wait, and only one of you can fit on the bike."

Kat stared on in disbelief. She looked torn. Finally, after a moment and a haisty decision she turned to Sam. Holding the cat gently out she asked, "Take her and the kittens to your sister. I'll go with Reno." With that she handed the cat gently over and turned to Reno.
"I'm going." Kat pulled out a daggar and fixed Reno with a stern look.
