Week 1  5/5 stars
Army of Darkness (1993)
Genre: Horror/Comedy. Ok Basically its the age old tale of a guy traveling back in time and trying to get home by any means nessicary... Pretty boring right? Well.. your Wrong, DEAD wrong. Army of Darkness is the 3rd installment of the Evil Dead trilogy, though its not quite the zombie horror you would expect, because Aod is a comedy, thats right a spoof on the Evil dead films, by who? Sam Raimi, Director of Evil Dead ( Along with Several Fantastic Movies I won't get into as of yet.) This movie is a must see for all ages, its funny enough for adults but kids could also watch it and get a few laughs, I recomended this to my cousin and loved it. Ash, the main character (no I didn't streal my name from him.. lol Ash is my real name..) Equipt with his boomstick and chainsaw arm, must combat the forces of evil so he can get back to the future, and his job at S-mart.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975)
Genre: Horror/Comedy/musical A hillarious film about alien transvestites from the planet transexual in the galaxy of transilvania, how can you go wrong? Basically a newly married couple has car trouble and winds up stranded in the middle of no where, they travel to a castle to seek help from the inhabitants, but they never get help instead alot of weird stuff just happens. full of singing and dancing and guys in drag, this one is a winner If you liked this movie, also see:

My Don't See of the Week is: Son of the mask It was just dull in comparison to the other 2 mask movies which were also pretty retarded, but retarded enough to be funny. Jamie Kenedy pales in comparison to Jim Carrey and the Cging was way overdone. Red says to add a disclaimer. yes there are nude scenes in this movie.. I thought the theme kinda told you that.. but w/e XDD Rated R (not a porno though)

heres my review, better late than never The Chronicles of Riddick
well last month i rented a movie called pitch black, and this month i rented the sequal, the chronicles of riddick. when i rented pitch black it was because i couldnt find anything else and ive always kinda liked vin diesel's movies to some extent so i thought id give it a shot, and what a shot! pitch black comes before the chronicles of riddick, and basically you just want to see it before riddik, just explains a couple things that you will see and hear in the chronicles of riddick.
that being said, heres the basic plot
riddick is on the run, hes killed alot of people and theres a 1.5million dollar bounty on his head. one of the people from pitch black told where riddik would be hiding. riddick was able to escape, youll have to watch to find out how, and he went to where the person who revealed his location lived, he found out that he had done so only because their planet was going to be attacked and they felt the only way they could win was with riddicks help. he decides to help them, but of course he is only one man however deadly he may be. if you like scifi/fantasy movies, this is definately a must see, if you like violence and action, you should also take a look. this movie kept me watching and paying attention which not alot of movies are able to do for me, so its good in my books.
i give the chronicles of riddick a 5/5
and as for any sort of disclaimer
there is no nudity or reference to anything sexual, just strong language and some gory scenes.
oh and i forgot to mention, my do not see
my do not see of the week, is guess who
kinda seemed like an alrite movie at first, and its got bernie mac and ashton kutcher in it so youd think itd be good, and it definately has its funny moments, but the whole movie is basically shallow, its pretty much just making fun of being white/black because ashton kutchers girlfriend is black and ya, call it anything you want, i still dont think its good for that to be the plot line for a movie. also there was a go-kart race scene, which looked like something that would have come out of a childrens movie, but then in other scenes theres girls talking about penises. i think the people who came up with all this stuff for the movie have issues and they should have fired them when they decided to put all that nonsence in.
hated the movie, wouldnt recomend it to anyone

Ace Ventura: Pet Detective (1994)
Genre: Comedy. Its a Jim Carrey movie, of course its good (Unless its cable guy *cough* *cough*) The mascot for the miami dolfins goes missing and its up to ace to save him! packed with hillarious one liners and funny faces this is a must see, though if you dont like jim carreys antics it can get kinda retarded. not a great plot but the humor is side splitting.

Reds pick of the week Air Force One well ill start this off by letting any of you who dont know what air force one is, it is the president of the united states private 747. it is resistant to bombs/missles and its possible to run the whole country from it in the event of a war. that being said, the movie starts of normally enough, you meet the president (harrison ford) and you see that he is going to be flying to his next destination. then while the plane is in the air one of the members of the secret service unlocks the weapon locker onboard and signals a group of russians on the plane that its open and they take over from there. anyone they didnt kill they take as hostages, and treaten to kill one every 30 minutes if a certain man isnt realeased from prison. they also thought the president had escaped in the escape pod but he had stayed behind, so now it is up to the president to retake air force one and minimize hostage casualties. youd think its like any old action shoot em up movie but it definately isnt, there are ALOT of twists just when you think everything is going perfect. its one of those movies where just everything in it is perfect. rated pg-13 so its good for the whole family, just abit of blood when people get shot. if you havent seen it, rent it. i give air force one a 5/5 My do not see for this week isnt really a do not see, its an alrite movie, but it was really confusing. the movie is called mad max. theres a bunch of bikers that just really do not give a ******** about what they do and feel they can do whatever they want. max is a cop and i cant say too much, but he gets pretty mad. if you like the muscle car era you may like it, the cops run around in fords, forget what model but their running something big under the hood and also if you into biker flics. guess youd consider it an action movie, but its not really at the same time. i give it a 3/5 its kinda confusing but if you pay attention its a little better.

Kung Pow: Enter the Fist (2002)
Genre: Comedy Alright, this movie was really stupid.. but in a funny way. they took old footage of old japanese movies and the star/director Steve Oedekerk edited himself into the scenes and dubbed over the other characters voices to make a completely different movie. Well as you may have noticed, I love spoofs, and this movie just brings it to the next level, Im warning you right now, the movie looks really poorly done expecially the cging, but its ment to look this way. one thing that sucksed about this movie was it tended to get repeatitive, they did this to be funny but it just kinda dragged the movie out longer then it had to be. haha gotta agree with you there ash, napoleon dynamite sucks a**, only laughed at the end when i realized how bad it sucked and how many people said it was awesome.
My pick of the week is face off
now, take your initial idea that this is a hockey movie and throw it out the window. think again, what else could the words mean? well while your thinking about that, ill introduce you to the plot line. john travolta plays a FBI agent and nicolas cage plays a terrorst. i wont say how they got to it but it ended in a stand of between nicolas cage and john travolta in a hanger at an airport and cage ends up taking a beating and ya basically put into a coma. so he is kept alive on life support, but at the site of the standoff they found a disk and it had data about a bomb that was planted somewhere, so now they need to find the bomb. the only person who knows where the bomb is is cage's brother and he refuses to talk to anyone except for his brother. now heres where it gets tricky, the FBI tell john that they can do surgery and swap his face with cages, and then theyl be able to get the info they need to disarm the bomb (hence the name of the movie wink ) however while he is doing so cage wakes up, now there is a terrorist in a FBI agents positioon, very dangerous mix, great movie in my opinion, sorry i dont know the characters names in the movies though only who their played by.
i give face off a 5/5
check it out, its not for everyone but im sure you would at least give it a 3 even if its not your type of movie
and my do not see for the week is also napolean dynamite, just cause ya it sucks so much, like ash said, if you havent seen it dont.

wow we forgot an update last week! sorry guys this is kinda last minute here, but i figured id throw a review together Gone in 60 seconds havent seen this one in a while but if you like action/police chases/fast cars, then you should love it. starts off like a typical action/stealth movie, a group of guys breaking in to a porsche dealer and boosting a porsche, unfortunately stuff happens and they are followed back to the hideout by the cops and along with the porsche the other cars they had stolen were also impounded. now the plot thickens, the group of guys get away and it cuts to a scene where as far as you know it is a totally unrelated guy (memphis), who turns out to be one of the earlier guys older brother. you also find out that since he screwed the job up that he is going to be killed if the guy who ordered the cars doesnt get them. memphis talks to the guy and is given 72 hours to steal 50 cars or else his brother is going to be killed. amoung the cars on the list are lamborghinis, ferarris, porsches, mercedes', and then arguably one of the most popular cars around, a 1967 ford mustang shelby GT-500. great movie in my opinion, just a little slow here and there, other than that its really good 4/5 definately rent it if you havent and your into action/cars unless i think of one i dont have a do not see for today

Week 5 4/5 stars4/5 stars Batman Begins (2005) Genre: Action/adventure/fantasy Alright, I just want to tell you I am a bit biased because I enjoy Marvel/Dc/comic movies, I just always have I used to watch xmen and read too many commics as a child I guess XD but the fact of the matter is I like them and I think batman to be one of the most well done movies of this particular genre. The moviee tells you what happened prior to the other 4 batman movies, you learn about bruce wayne's time stent training and why he's affraid of bats ect. props goes out the the designer of the car they used as the batmobile (I bet red likes it^^) it is the coolest batmobile in my opinion ^^ the only thing I didn't like about this movie was the villian, if you watch the movie and you are familliar with the commic you will notice that the scarecrow isn't threatening at all and they should have used the joker or something, but at the end of the movie he finds a joker card, possilbe sequel? better believe it ^^ A Quote From the Movie: Carmine Falcone: [frantically loading his shotgun] What the hell are you? Week 6 4/5 stars
Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (2003)
Genre: Action/adventure/fantasy/slight horror Alot of fan-girls go ga-ga over this movie which makes alot of people not want to watch it, I saw it the first day it came out, before people were overly hyed about it and enjoyed it. theres aren't many pirate like adventure movies and I like to see something different then the typically kissy kiss love story. in this movie a girl saves a drowning boy, only to realise hes a pirate by the necklace hes wearing. shes steals his necklace and no one suspects hes a pirate. he is brought back to the girls kingdom where she lives and is brought up a blacksmith. evil pirates kidnap the girl and will (the once young boy) and a pirate named jack trys to save her. My Don't see of the week is: Godzilla 2000 I watched this in the movie theatre and after 5 minutes I wanted to leave.. godzilla gets about 15 minutes screentime the whole movie and its horrible dubbed.. save your time and money don't watch this movie.

Red's movie review The Matrix alrite im going to start this off by simply saying, if you havent seen this movie yet, you HAVE TO SEE IT! while the 2nd and 3rd matrix may have sucked, the first one is absolutely amazing. movie starts off where you see a girl sitting in a chair and a bunch of cops telling her to stand up and put her hands on her head. the scene switches to outside and a black car pulls up and some men in black suits (agents) get out and argue with the police chief outside that they were not supposed to go in to arrest her because she is dangerous, the chief states that he thinks his men can handle 1 girl, to which he replies, no your men are already dead. the scene changes again and you see her take down all the cops, completly unarmed. then you see the head agent chase her accross rooftops, they both jump over a huge distance to get to one roof. she manages to get to a room with a phone and then when the agents get there she has disappeared (which will later make sense). now it cuts to another scene where mr. anderson who go's by the name neo on the internet cant figure out whats going on with his computer, it introduces the matrix to him and tells him to follow the white rabbit. he go's out with some friends and sees the girl from the beginning of the movie and she has a tattoo of a white rabbit. she tells him as much as she can. its hard to go any further without giving things away but basically the matrix is the world that we know to be the real world but is actually just a computer program we are connected to. the movie has alot of action sequences and is definately one of the best movies to every come out 5/5 my do not see for the week is junkman (or some title that has that in it, not 100% sure that was the full name anymore) what a CRAPPY movie it sounded cool on the back, talking about the movie with the most cars to explode in it, but it sucked! the first hour was just music and some guy walking around standing beside cars or something and then the last hour of it was just this dragged out car chase thing and there was no plot at all, what a waste of a dvd disc! it gets a 0/5

Reds pic of the week
well hey guys, i think this is a week overdue and im sorry as the rest of you probably are as well, im incredibly busy with school and i dont have alot of time to do stuff like this at the moment but im doing it cause its been bugging me so ya
DOOM
if your familiar with the computer game called doom then you have probably heard of the movie, if not it probably kind of passed under the other higher profile movies. doom is i believe based around the general concept of the 3rd instillation of the doom series of games (im not sure as im not into the games). its a fairly basic movie, theres a bunch of badass army type dudes who get sent into an instalation on mars because there was a transmission sent that something had gone horribly wrong and ya if you watch it you get a better idea for what is kind of happening, but basically the scientists were attacked by something. if you dont like horror movies, dont worry this isnt one, its more of an action movie than anything, while there are zombie type creatures, its not TERRIBLY gruesome such as movies like Hostel. This movie keeps you on the edge of your seat at most parts, but doesnt overdo it either. decent movie, just not my type really, definately had good parts though.
final words : if your bored, rent it. thats pretty much all there is to say, its not super amazing and its not boring either, give it a shot.
and if you play your dvd's on a xbox then your in for a small annoyance (maybe) this happened to me with the chronicles of riddik as well, but it was worse with doom, it gave me a loading bar and it took like 5 minutes to load, then it loaded up a doom 3 demo for xbox. at first it got me really mad because i didnt get a option to play the dvd and i really didnt feel like playing the game. my brother figured it out though that you have to go to the game menu with your xbox controller and then select play movie. i think thats a very stupid feature and that they should make it so you have a choice before loading the game and make it possible to make the choice with the dvd remote not the xbox controller
anyways ya that turned into abit of a rant but whatever.

X-Men: The Last Stand (2006)
Genre:Commic/Action/thriller Alright, I was very hesitant to see this movie having been a huge fan of all things xmen my entire life and then hearing this movie was udder crap from aton of people kind of made me so I didnt want to watch it, so I woudln't be turned off Xmen.. I gathered up enough courage to actually see it for myself, and let me tell you it was great! Highlight For spoiler:
Ok, So in the movie a cure for mutants has been announced, mutants are protesting it, others are getting it, one of thep ople who get it is rogue, and she does it by choice, the government decided to use it as a weapon, Jean comes back from under all the water, kills scott, kills Prof X goes crazy and basically almost destroys the world.
Magneto looses his powers during the war against mutants, wolverine killds jean.
The one complaint I had with this movie was the total lack of character building on the juggernaut.
In the movie he is treated as a normal mutant and has no back story, his costume is silver and he has a brittish/australian accent.
In the comic he is professor X's brother, he wasn't a real mutant, he found something that gave him his powers and wore a red costume..
But other then that it was great, there were awsome special effects, and a good story.
a much see for sure.
