Story Line:
The toy producer company, Takara, used to create Barbie dolls in the Japanese market. However, Takara lost the copyright permission for Barbie, and instead, created their own line of barbie-sized (27cm/11inch) dolls. The Takara JENNY Doll is created.

I have one Jenny so far. I found her in a thrift store for $3. eek She's the "natural" tone of the first Photogenic Jenny, and appears that she may be a test market release (her wrists don't bend the same way as as I've seen pictures of the official body go, and one of the things different about the pre-release was in the hands...).

Wow!!! $3 for a Jenny doll!???? How lucky!!!! Jenny dolls are so pretty! I loved her eyes, it looks so anime-style, yet pretty at the same time...
I think my favourite Jenny bodies would have to be the jointed ones, i don't like the bendable bodies...

I have about 20 Jennys. I have none of the original Takara Barbies, wish I did...Anyways, my Jennys fight over my Jeffs all the time, I only have about two, so you can see where the problem comes in. Only Naomi and Mitsuki stay away...they have Tomoki to fight for. Same for Tamaki. I like Jenny's friend Jessica/Gesica best. Although it is hard to dress her. I don't have a lot of pink clothes, see, and no other colour fits her very well... sweatdrop

Bendable bodies break crying ...Tamaki suffered a wrist injusry from holding a miniature porclean dolly for too long crying

Mariacv I have about 20 Jennys. I have none of the original Takara Barbies, wish I did...Anyways, my Jennys fight over my Jeffs all the time, I only have about two, so you can see where the problem comes in. The Takara Jenny dolls in the market now, I really like. Their outfits are just so amazingly beautiful! I wish I had those clothes in real life! My dolls have to fight over the only few male dolls that I have... (I even have to sub Sailor Uranus as a male because I'm lacking male dolls) Weird thing is, I never brought the Jeff dolls, didn't really like Jeff dolls too much. I really like the new Jenny male doll, TAKUMI? I like Syo (Moe's brother) from the AGIS series a few years back, but it was sold out very quickly! The TAMAKI doll is ok too, but Takumi's hair rocks! I prefer Takumi now heart

I have a battery operated Licca doll that rollerskates around a circular rink (rather clumsily but yeah... xD), she's really cute, she has a flag too... x3 I think her name is Mika... (can't remember sweatdrop )
Just wondering if anyone knows how much this is worth? o_o I don't own any other Jenny/Licca dolls so I have no clue about this area of dolls... whee

I *adore* Licca and Jenny dolls! I have 25 or so, and I love them all dearly! Especially the Caslte Jenny and Friends dolls....I collect the ones with strange hair colors. heart
