UFO Catcher Plush dolls simply means plush dolls that are captured from a UFO Catcher machine. UFO Catcher machines are commonly found in Japanese Video Game arcades. The machine features a claw inside the box with the plush dolls (prizes) on the bottom. You have to press the buttons and arrange it so that the claw will capture the plush doll and bring it to you. If it succeeds, you will get the plush doll (or whatever prize they may have).
The thing about UFO Catchers are, the plush dolls/toys/prizes found in the machine are not sold in store. Most of them are not found in stores, if you like the plush doll, you have to try winning it yourself, or buy them from auctions.

it's too bad they don't have those machines here, but if they did, I know I would spend a fortune trying to get it... I tried playing the UFO catcher machine when I visited Japan, but I lost 100yen (approximately $1.00US) in less than 5 sec cuz i pressed the wrong button crying

I have so many plush dolls and other stuffed toys.
A recent addition is one of Sally the Rag Doll from Nightmare Before Christmas that I got at the Disney Store for my birthday last year. heart

Does anyone collect the Sailor Moon UFO Catcher plush dolls? I just had to share, I think the Sailor Moon UFO catcher is done really well! I really like the ChibiChibi plush doll, but I just couldn't find it crying

I have a mamoth amount of Neopet plush, especially from this past summer when they were at McDonald's. I also have a few Sailor Moon plush from when I collected toys from that show. The only plush that I never bought that I wish I had was a UFO Catcher of Sailor Star Healer. I should go see if anyone on ebay is selling one...

Dame Edna I have a mamoth amount of Neopet plush, especially from this past summer when they were at McDonald's. I also have a few Sailor Moon plush from when I collected toys from that show. The only plush that I never bought that I wish I had was a UFO Catcher of Sailor Star Healer. I should go see if anyone on ebay is selling one... the Sailor Star healer is probably an expensive plushie too, I'm guessing you might find it for more than $25US on ebay, only because people really would bid it up... same with the amazoness quartet sailor moon dolls

I absolutely adore UFO catcher dolls... heart
I own about 10+ UFO catcher dolls... all from various anime, and some I just thought were really cute even though I've never watched the anime they're from... x3
And I recently saw a giant Sesshoumaru UFO doll at an anime store I frequent... I really want to get it cause he'll go well with the giant Inu Yasha I already have... xD
Oh!! And they've also restocked on a Mokona plushie I've been eyeing for so long... crying

I have a custom-made Rath UFO catcher from Dragon Knights. He came from the Sailormoon Specialty Shoppe. 3nodding
I also made a Kenshin rag doll. whee He's my photo stand-in wherever I go (since I don't like taking pictures). He even has his own little foil sword! He's created out of socks, felt, and an old tanktop I had lying around (it was the precise color of his shirt--talk about luck).
And at last count (a few years ago) I had 112 stuffed animals. I probably have more now. whee

Would it be the 'somewhat' new anime called FULL MOON WO SAGASHITE? I haven't seen the plush dolls from that series, but it's a popular series, I have some of the dream pocket sized (compact doll sized) Full moon dolls produced by BANDAI. Those are really cute 3nodding
