why is it restricted when mask of darkness isn't?
This belongs in the Q&A, but I'll answer here then move it. The reasoning as to why Mask of Darkness was limited was for three reasons:
1. It was causing much mayhem in Exchange of the Spirit OTK decks.
2. Same as my first response except it's for Reasoning OTK decks.
3. Withing the late-last Metagame, many people were recreating the Yata-Lock using a simple combo; Time Seal+Mask of Darkness+Tsukuyomi. This was creating huge splash in the late-Metagame and these decks were beginning to Top 8 in lots of sanctioned events.
Also, this goes for the same as reason 2, but it was helping a lot of Burn decks; Lock-Down burn, Reasoning/Marron Burn, and Reasoning Burn OTK.
Magician of Faith was brought back to 2 because with certain Spells out of the way (*COUGHDARKHOLECOUGH*) they wouldn't be so much a problem, and with Nobleman of Crossout at 2, they're bound to go anyway.
