A History Of The Islands

By Beryll (Chapters 1-2)
By Mannaz Eihwaz (Chapter 3)
By Rin (Chapter 4)

Chapter 1: New Beginnings

In the beginning, there were ten islands. The Island of Spirits, Fire, Water, Ice, Wind, Lightening, Earth, Gravity, Darkness, and Light. Each of which needed a god and a goddess to rule over it.

There is a general sense of peace between the islands, though a few have tensions built up between the divine beings who rule them. Of these tensions, the most infamous was the tensions between Alyss, goddess of darkness, and Beryll, god of earth. Even these two were able to set aside their differences to conquer a common enemy.

The existing god of darkness was a pain and unworthy to have such power over the Island of Darkness, and so a plan was formulated between Alyss, Beryl, and Rin to rid the islands of the god. Without a common enemy to unite them, Alyss and Beryll went back to their quarreling.

The newest reason for their tensions is Beryl's research. Alyss, taking Beryll's most trusted priestess, and forcing her to leak information about Beryll's research. She discovered that Beryll's wish was to fuse elemental forces together, creating new elemental forces that could be controlled and possibly disrupt the balance of all the islands. Alyss, despite her enjoyment of chaos, knew that this would disrupt the balance so much, that even she didn't like the idea.

Meanwhile, Beryll plans to introduce the beginnings of this research at a tournament he plans to set up on a new island near the Island of Spirits, and all he waits for is the response from the other islands to send their representatives.

Chapter 2: A Plot Unfolds

As Beryll's research continued, Alec continued to leak some information unwillfully to Alyss, under minor suspicions of the earth god. Beryl made his best attempts to get Alec to admit the issue, but could not get her to talk of the darkness looming over her shoulder.

Under a fit of self-proclaiming superiority, the new god of darkness, Azrail, taunted Alec with the enslavement of her dearest friend, Max. Willing to give any opportunity to save Max, Alec bartered her own freedom with the god in a challenge.

Not wishing for Beryll to interfere, Alec took it upon herself to trick the earth god, turning him into a cat for a short period of time.

Alyss took it upon herself to intervene to prevent her unwilling spy from losing her life, and then took the priestess from the island of earth, to the island of darkness.

Now Beryll is back in action, and looking to wreak his vengeance upon all involved. Seeking alliance with another island, his plans of total war might throw all the islands into utter chaos.

Chapter 3: The Fall of a God

Beryll, God of Earth, sought an alliance out with one of the formerly uninvolved Goddesses, Tatiana of the Winds. After some convincing, Beryll was able to talk Tatiana into aiding him in his direct assault against Alyss.

Upon arriving at the Island of Darkness, Tatiana's eyes were opened to many truths. Beryll's plans to fuse the elements disturbed her, but Alyss's theft of the Priestess Alec also proved awful. Upon a confession of affection from the God of Earth for his Priestess, Tatiana decided to abduct Alec and leave Beryll to fight his own battle.

Beryll attempted to lure Alyss to his own side, but the Goddess of Darkness refused his sweet temptations. Beryll's battle, seemed not to be aimed at beating Alyss in a direct conflict, but in some other way unseen by anyone. When he conceded the fight, he seemed satisfied with what he had done.

Now Beryll lives as an Exile, with naught but his own mortal life to comfort him. And the fates of all others involved is still undecided. Will peace remain on the islands, or will something spark conflicts anew?

Chapter 4: A break in the rules.
Since the fall of the earth God Beryl, and the capture of the highly sought earth priestess, Alec. The island remained with one servant, one that could no longer keep its survival. Upon this the soul surviver, Mannaz sought out Rin, the goddess of ice and asked for her help in keeping an eye on the island in exchange for his element.

Agreeing to this Rin removed his element, by removing the roots of earth completely, and replaced them with ice. But in doing so she had to keep to her bargain as well, so now a part of earth is in her. Was this not what she was trying to stop...the island and elments combining?

What happens is yet to be seen.
