The Players:
Animorphs:
Jake: The leader of this motley group. He's very tacticle in battle and knows how to get things done. Can be very cunning and even somewhat ruthless to get the larger objective done. In the middle of battle, he'll sometimes come up with bursts of insight, almost as if he instinctively knows what to do.
Battle morph of choice: Tiger.
Alternate choice: Peragrine falcon (sp?)
Marco: Jake's best friend. Often the most comical, but also the most street intelligent. He can see through plans and see problems from different angles long before the others even consider it. He's VERY commited, and will do almost anything that needs to be done. If push comes to shove, he's set up his own mother to die, in order to decapitate the Yeerk invasion.
Battle morph of choice: Gorrilla
Alternate choice: Cobra
Cassie: The most emotionally developed of the group. She's very talanted at defusing potentially dangerous situations. Jake's "Girlfriend" and Rachel's best friend. By FAR the best Morpher, she's been able to switch morphs in battle so well and quickly, no one was able to identify her as human.
Battle morph of choice: Wolf.
Alternate choice: Skunk
Rachel: Cassie's best friend, Jake's cousin, and Tobias's Pseudo-girlfriend. "Xena the warrior princess" Is what Marco has named her, and it fits. Always the first one to volunteer for a suicide mission, this girl is definately the most passionate when it comes to battle. She has a soft side, but she'll dismember you before you reach it.
Battle morph of choice: Grizzly
Alternate choice: African Elephant
Tobias: Kinda hard to describe his personality. I'm up for suggestions. Very good at survaleince, even better when someone needs raw strength of character. Has withstood torture of the worst kind without losing his will to go on. Even though he's lost nearly everything he's ever cared about he chooses to remain a hawk so he may contribute to the fight.
Battle morph: Red-tailed Hawk
Alternate choice: Andalite
Note: His true form is now that of a hawk. He can morph straight to Andalite without changing back to human form.
Ax: Brother of Elfangor, one of the greatest tail blade fighters in the galaxy, Tobias's best friend and uncle (don't ask). He's by far the msot intelligent. Being an andalite, Ax isn't quite used to earth's customs but possesses increadible speed. Very useful and shouldn't be underestimated.
Battle morph of choice: Himself
Alternate choice: Not usually needed, but he's been known to go insect and demorph behind the enemy.
Notes: The stalks are constantly moving in different directions and contain eyes. This allows his to react to attacks from all angles with his tail-blade.
At this point I'd like to point out that while the forms the animorphs take are physically animals, the animal forms get benifit from constant use, so they are all in excellent physical condition. They also have Human intelligence and animal instincs. This means they can perform feats that are usually out of that particular animal's range.
Defenders of Mithral Hall:
Drizzt: May as well get the biggest out of the way first. Drizzt is a drow which mean in addition to excellent reflexes, balance, and speed he has the ability to create Globes of darkness, which are balls in which NOTHING can be seen. He's an excellent fighter and is very quick and decisive in battle.
Gear:
Icingdeath and Twinkle. Two scimitars, both of which have unique properties that don't really matter for the purposes of this fight.
Bracers of speed. These little buggers make Drizzt's feet move increadibly fast, and make it seem sometimes as if he's simply EVERYWHERE in a battle.
Wulfgar: Next heavy hitter. Adopted son of Bruenor, (sp?) brother to Cattie-bri and strongest human you'l' ever meet. He's surprisingly agile and increadibly fast for his size. Was trained by Drizzt in the art of combat, and no novice to battle.
Gear: Aegis fang. An increadibly powerful warhammer, that he can throw over thirty yards. With a thought, it simply reapears in his hands, much to the chagrin of his enemies. He's very good with this tool, and can even defend Drizzt's increadibly fast-paced style with it.
Notes: When Pissed off he becomes VERY dangerous.
Breunor: King of Mithrall Hall, drizzt's best friend, and adoptive parent to both Wulfgar and Cattie-Bri. He's a tough old goat, and one of the toughest Dwarves to walk the earth. The most experienced in battle, and very good at defending his posistion. He can take an unearthly amount of damage before falling. Once (Bare-headed) fully charged a minotaur into a headbutt and the Minotaur died while he was only disoriented.
Gear: his Ax, and a one-horned helmet. No special properties.
Cattie-Bri: Nothing to really say in terms of personality, except extremely loyal, and a competant fighter and superb archer.
Gear: Heartseeker. AN enchanted bow that fires arrows in increadibly powerful streaks of silver light. Bows always return to the quiver.
Cutter: Magic sword. Sentient and cuts through practically anything like it's not even there.
Regis: A tricky halfling. An excellent theif and fairly good at sneaking up on people. Reasonably useless in battle.
Gear: A tiny Mace. Usually used to Kneecap someone when they aren't looking.
Gem: A small gem that holds power of persuasion over the weak-willed.
Big kitty (I'm too lazy to look up the name): A four-hundred pound panther, magical in Nature. Intelligent and can take a large amount of punishment before dissapating into the ethral plane. Very good teamwork with Drizzt.
Scenario: Crayak has met Lolth, and claimed that he knows beings who's chaotic nature rival that of her greates unwilling agent. Drizzt. After a good deal of debating, they agree to hold a contest between each of their champions.
The Eliminst appears before the Animorphs and tells them their services are needed once again. That Crayack has met a being of considerable might, and THEY must defeat this being's champions before Crayack's can, to keep the balnce from being disturbed. The animorphs reluctantly agree, and are immediately wisked away, to a small, (20-40 feet accross) clearing in the middle of woods that look like earth's but smell... cleaner.
Drizzt and company in the meantime are searching for Colton, when Drizzt senses something's wrong. He bades the others to stay still while he checks out the situation.
When he returns it's to announce that some children seem to be entranced by a bizzar-looking blue demon. The drow and his friends quickly go into action, nearing the clearing, only to discover that it's empty of children. Instead a weird consortment of rare animals sit and look poised for action. Seemingly without a signal, they scatter, avoiding a streak of silver light. (Gotta love Tobias and Ax senses combined with Thought-speek)
Let the fight commence.
