ok, i have this guy friend that i have know since i was about 4 years old.... lately ive been at his house almost every weekend, his parents and my parents are friends...so yea.... but the fact that hes like family to me kinda makes it feel awkward.... but hes really hot.... any one have any suggestions? help? advice? any thing?

You have to be friend before anything else (serious) can happen.It's the best way to have a relationship. You guys seem to be comfortable with each other and that can really keep the relationship honest and going in the right direction.
On the onther hand, if he feels more like a brother than a potential mate, then leave it alone and keep the friendship. smile

Whoa, I'm just checking on down the row of threads when I suddenly read "Dating family" and I just have to stop and read this.
I say go for it! What have you got to lose? In a worst case scenario, you date him and find out that he's really a deadbeat and you hate him. So what? At least now you know.
However, if you're really as close as you say, your relationship is probably safe. You're not so likely to find any of those awful little surprises that destroy a friendship. So realistically, going out with him will probably only result in a rather safe learning experience. If it works out well, then you've already got your future hubby. If it doesn't, then you stop going out together, but probably stay good friends. And even if it doesn't work out, you both still have the experience of a serious relationship that will benefit you in the future!
