Hi!
Ok, we found a hotel, and we're all set there as well as for a ride.
I'm also offering in-con help. I was raised as a boy scout (in spite of being a girl) so I'm exceptionally well prepared for nearly anything that happens at a con.
I'll have a really wide range of costume repair stuff, including thread, needles, pins, safety pins, ribbons, and anything else that I have in my sewing kit, and I also know how to sew nearly anything, at least well enough to repair a costume that's been hurt.
I also will have snack foods, although they're for people who need them- it'll all be healthy stuff like granola bars and dried fruit, but after three days of con-suite food, it really helps you feel better to get decent food.
I'll also have a medical kit with everything you might need for everything from "I fell and cut myself" to "I'm throwing up sick", including the bane of anime cons, diahhrea. (Don't be shy to tell me if you're sick, I'm used to it.). I'll also have things for low blood sugar (from not eating) and things for headache, nausea, and that killer icky feeling from not sleeping for several days. Blisters, scrapes, and other things, too.
I'll leave my cell number if anyone wants it, just in case- just PM me and I'll send it back to you.Past Information Hello, fellow Metrocon-bound.
We're flying in from Seattle Washington to get to this con, and we have hit one big snag... will anyone be near the airport Friday morning? Anyone else flying in early on Friday who can give us a lift to our hotel or the con? Anyone have a spare few bucks for a cab? XP

Wow. Seattle. Damn. I thought I had it bad (two and a 1/2 hour car ride). I'd help, but sadly, I won't be near the airport, I'm coming clear from the oposite side. Good luck, though. I hope you enjoy yourself and that this is something worth flying in for.

If I could help, I would, but I'm not sure what my plans are for getting to the con.Or if I'll be anywhere near the airport(which is quite unlikely.).I wish you the very best of luck in getting there though!I hope to see you!

Econo Lodge is very cheap (approx $120 total for the two nights), and about a 10 minute drive from the convention center. (it's where my friends and I were planning on staying) http://tinyurl.com/rm2gn <- had to shorten the link coz it was waaaay too long. ^-^

My friend, our chaperone, and I are staying with a friend that lives down there. I am not exactly sure where the house is but I can find out and if we have room in the car and are near the airport we might be able to pick you up. Or we mgiht be able to pic you up at your hotel if you need it.

Kanaka Kyoki, did you arrange transportation from the airport to the hotel yet? If not, I maybe able to help you. Yeah, we got it. We're actually flying into Savannah and driving from there to Tampa- (picking up our other two hotel mates.) On the same count, we'll have a car at the con if anyone wants to pitch in gas and needs to go somewhere (laundry, grocery store, ect). Also, this might be important- I'm bringing a fully stocked Con Kit (with stuff for costume repairs and everything, plus) and a first aid kit. When I say that, I mean it's not just bandaids and wipes. I carry a full on medical kit and I know how to use it. I also know how to handle things like broken costume pieces, low blood sugar from not eating at the con, upset stomachs from eating wrong, and cranky or bitchy people who haven't slept recently.
