Legends of Menthura

There are times in history when the world is at peace, at near eutopia. Then, on the same token, there are times of distress, disorder, and chaos. Unfortunantly Menthura has never gotten the chance to see it's eutopia, instead it is always in complete disaray. The continent has just lost its previous dictator, a necromancer by the name of Antra'Kun. The people thought the storm had past when Antra'Kun was removed from power, but now there are wild men roaming the land, pillaging at their own will. Those are not the only dangers in this new world, orks, liches, goblins, trolls, and even a few lesser necromancers are still lurking about, waiting for the return of the last regime. The greatest woe however, is the thought that somewhere, in the fastness of Menthura, the great necromancer Antra'Kun is still biding his time, waiting for his chance to regain his former status, and reak vengence on those who dispatched him from the seat of power to begin with.
If there is a hope for order in all of this, they are the Guilds. Each guild is contending for the seat of power in Menthura. These Guilds are as diverse as the people of this world. There are bands of elves, hordes of orks, and the noblest of men. Although we must keep in mind there can be no two guilds in control, so each must make there bid for power by any means necessary.
This is where our story takes place. This is the story of heroics, and cowerdice, loyalty and backstabbing, and the pursuite of power, by any means. This is the story of a world. These are the Legends of Menthura...

Weapon: Nithimos (translated in dark elven to The Sword of Calling),

Abilities/Powers (I divided mine into two catagories, but you can do as you wish with it, also I went into detail, which you don't have to do, but I'd rather you did.):

Physical

Parry-Blocks minor sword attacks.
Slash- A powerful sword attack.
Concentrated Strike- A weaker slash that is extremly acurate.
Block- Uses armor/sword/whatever other item that is in his possesion to block a physical attack.

Magical

Fireball- Itharus throws a ball of fire.
Black Sheild- Itharus forms a black sheild and sheilds minor magic damage.
Icy Touch- Freezes armor and can form ice structures.
Touch of an Angel- Itharus heals all of his allies minor wounds, or fully heals one person.
Black Suffering- Opening his demon powers from within, he causes great pain on a target, hurting them greatly. Unfortuantly this drains Itharus greatly because he is dipping to far into his darker self.

Bio: Itharus's childhood was quite normal, by the standards of the people of Menthura. He grew up on a farm, spending his afternoons learning to fight off imps, goblins and such, but their has always been something different about him. It seemed that their where two people inside of him. This made the people of his village distrust him, because he either was at the front lines fighting off the hordes with a white gleam in his eyes, or he was in nearby forests, telling the nasties how to best wreak havok on the people (but oddly at these times his eyes turned a shade of crimson red). This went on for years until he was given an offer from a particularly nasty dark elf who traded him an enchanted sword (Nithimos "The Sword of Calling") for giving them a distraction so they could eradicate the village once and for all. Itharus was devestated after the hordes killed everyone he knew, and went into exile, his only freind being the sword that now haunted his every thought. It was here where he met up with a small gnome, by the name of Dorin, and a few other creatures who had just learned of the fall of the great Necromancer. Itharus, being the strongest of them all, orginized them into The Brotherhood of Chrysmade (from gnome god of the balance of opposites, ie. light and dark, good and evil, brocolli and snickers bars). Now they have taken up residence in the small city of Tel'Vos.

(ooc: well it's open for anyone who wants to be the rival gang of Tel'Vos)
Itharus clenched his fist as he walked down the street of Tel'Vos, they had been there a month now and the Brotherhood was getting anxious. Tensions had been running high between them and another guild and where meeting for "diplomacy" on the main street in low town. The street was quiet, deathly quiet. Word had gotten out about the actions of today, and people obviously decided to steer clear in case things went sour quickly. The members of the Brotherhood looked ready for war, 13 in all, a dwarf with a battleaxe, 5 elven mages, in full robes carrying staffs and talismans, 2 rouges with bows in hand and quivers full, three dark elves, two with black swords, and one with a cane, a gnome who was comming into being quite a warrior, and the fear inspiring leader Itharus. They walked down the dusty street, stopping at the middle. The street was empty. "They're late." Itharus sneered.

00c: DO we have to belong to a guild? Oh and i would like to join. Sounds interesting. By the way i put up my character info on the character page 2.
