Each individual has his/her own way of dealing with temptations.
Some might find ways to occupy themselves as a way to get through it. some might prey if they are Christian, some might find other things that they can do to keep themselves busy and try to stay away from things that might tempt them (I.E magazines, suggestive influences--such as movies or tv--, environmental influence such as being alone with a member of the opposite gender that they find themselves attracted to).
There is no one answer for everyone on something like this, as it is so with many other issues. Only suggestions. But if one should decide that they feel they are having trouble with their urges--espeically at a young age--a good idea would be to talk to a close, trusted adult-figure about their feelings and entrust them to give them good advice on how to deal with such matters. Afterall, those older than the individual--especially if they are rather young or a teenager even-- have experienced such things already and might have helpful advice to give those that ask.

Suggestive images are everywhere in the modern world today, so it can be difficult to go without some exposure. Examples are those of the mass media, literature writings, advertisments.
The thing that the individual can choose is what what they glue their eyes to. They can either choose to let themselves remain exposed to suggestive visuals or not.

NewFoundLight wha!?!?! Im just talking about unwanted thoughts thats about it. Meh. Mayhap you shouldn't be so vague? blaugh Okay, a proposal versus unwanted thoughts: Find a type of food that you despise (likely some sort of hard candy or cough drop). When ever you have a thought that makes you uncomfortable, just pop one in your mouth. ^.^

Glacia Ipsil Facinating. How does that work? In this regard? I'm not sure; I prefer indulging. ^.^ However, it did work quite well when I was trying to stop biting my nails. My only caution is that if you use cough drops you should not get any with real medicine in them. Always read the directions. I highly recommend honey lemon though. It will drive all thoughts from your mind save ones of horror and disgust for the abomination in your mouth. xp

NewFoundLight Better yet ask GOD to deal with it. Also an option, but bear in mind the YHWH gave you the hormones in the first place. I don't think He would interfere with a natural process off hand. Of course, research has shown that not masturbating can lead to prostate cancer as the sperms are reabsorbed into the body, so it can be beneficial. (In older times marriage ages were much younger, so this wasn't likely a problem back then. Nowadays we have social stipulations that force us to wait until we are at least 16, thus accelerating the problem.)
