I just joined so i don't know if you guys have already talked about this.
So............RENT.....personally i love it but i live in Utah so i've only heaard people complaining....opinions?

RENT is a masterpiece that has greatly influnced my life. My favorite char. were Rodger and Tom Collins. Angel was a close third, since she is a drag queen.

I agree. Rent is an amazing musical. 3nodding
I like how there's a diverse array of characters that everyone can relate to in some way. And of course there are many powerful messages.
My favorite characters would have to be Collins and Angel.
Tom was laid back but fun and playful, and Angel was a very strong and creative person. They made such a lovely couple.

Yea, Collins and Angel are sooo kawaii! I love yoai! All musicals are really good! Ive been in a few of them, but one of them didnt have much singing.
Youre right- the messages the movie sends are pwoerfuland moving. One of my teachers went to see it and hated the living daylights out of it. She said it was full of crack addicts, whores sluts and stuff like that. I went and saw the movie and I had to agree. It had some people who did crack. It had people who were gay! Ok then! I was alittle frustraited at her. Shes christian as I learned and just want to kow if she doesnt approve of gay marrage or something! I approve! Love is love! The ring finger is the only thing that can tell the differnece!
So I cried alot during that movie! It was fairly amusing and had many interesting songs.
I didnt like the RogerMimi Coupling all to much. Mimi just annoyed me.
MaureenJohanne is cute, even if theyre lesbians. Are they both bi or is one of them a les? I think theyre both bi.

i like Rodger. he has a strong personality and its willing to be a support to others.
but the gay couples creeped me out. bleck!

I like it for the things it gets into. I mean, it does cover controversial issues like AIDS, homlessness, homosexuality, and drugs, but it's also about what gets us through all the **** in life. Love.
