This is the place to ask all of your questions concerning anything and everything about UP Crew. Please read "UP Crew Info" before asking questions, as numerous simple answers to several common questions can be found there. I will list all questions along with the answers I have provided in the next post, so look through there as well to see if your question has been asked and answered by someone else.

Questions and Answers Question Coolies! Do you know what kind of comic it will be yet? As in, plot? Or is it a secret? x3 There will be many comics, as my friend and I have numerous ideas for comics. The main comic that I will be making is titled "Sanguine." It is a Sonic the Hedgehog comic, with, by my opinion, an amazing plot. As to what the actual plot is... That will be kept secret. Question *raises hand* What if you have no artistic skill whatsoever *Several large, flashing arrows point at her.* and just think it's a cool idea? Oh, that is no problem at all. I am not saying that everyone has to add to the site content. I merely meant to say that anyone freely may if they wish to. Feel free to read the comics, play the games, buy stuff from the shop, and chatter/RP at the forums. Now you see that there is plenty to do regardless of helping with the site content. Just that number of hits and activity you will bring alone will help the site gain recognition among the dozens of others out there.

You are? Cool! Good luck to you! Hmm... I guess that the comic would tend itself to be more of a text-based adventure game. It could show a picture of where you are and things that are going on in that phase of the story, too. Just to let you know, Ivel, VB has very little limitations. I believe that a 3D MMORPG called Runescape is programmed entirely with either VB or Javascript.

They are a mix of computer and game terms. Affiliation is when two sites agree to advertise by putting each other's banners on their affiliate page. Usually affiliation happens when certain prerequisite conditions have been met and one site asks the other. The site are often similar in content and ideals. a text-based adventure game is an old style of game back when the simplest graphics were only dreams. They tend to start out with a basic premise that explaisn the plot thus far and give the player something to strive towards. After the initial plot, it tella you where you are and offers a choice of the directions you can go. Enemy enounters solely rely on items that you have collected. Commands are simple and include such things as "Go North", "Use Sword", or "Throw Bomb". A good example that is easy to find nowadays is actually making fun of this type of game. It is a very good language that is constantly competing with another language called C/C++. I assume that you know what 3D means. MMORPG stands for Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game. Some games that fit into this category are Adventure Quest, Conquer, Rune Scape, and Zelda Online. Javascript is the upgrade to its predecesor Java. It is a very functional language for interactive websites. It was considered the best before macromedia came out with Flash. It is still widely used, because its operations are simple code, while Flash requires more prowess. Also, dial-up modems (28k or 56k) have trouble loading up Flash and other multimedia that is large.

-shudder-I -hated- Java. Its so unhelpful compared to Vb!>.<
Visual Basic is very user firendly, you can do alot of the simpler functions with almost no practice.
in contrast Java is completly unhelpfulx.x, and hte program my teacher tried to teach me on was lousy. It was buggy,twitchy,spazzy, and in the end you werent actually coding ANything, it was all "fake" code, i.e., the programs only ran in the program itself.

Eh, I sort of like Javascript. Then again, I like languages that are harder. Well, just because you're only using a compiler doesn't mean that the code wouldn't work otherwise.

A compiler, just to explain, is a program that simulates the code being an actual program and runs it as such, though the code is still raw. They are usually used to teach or weed out errors before the code is converted into an executable.
An executable is your average program, having the extension "*.exe".
